Who needs the Weather Channel when you have Ryan and Andy Hill?! They post the best weather videos.
For real. Dude is a legend. Best weather expert ever.
Facts
That’s the truth.
I totally agree!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
They never get the weather right. Idk why people even watch the news anymore. Useless.
The weather channel gives you the weather but Ryan explains why were going to have the weather we have and looks way ahead for us.
amen!!
Who else wishes Ryan wouod do a daily forecast for the United States to give us a better understanding of what’s coming and why. Being a cattle farmer I gotta count in accurate weather to get my hay up
And the periodic weather forecasts from this channel have given me an edge that I never had before.
Glad you are soaking the information up and being safe!
You do a much better job of explaining the weather than my local meteorologists.
They don’t have the 10 minutes to go into extreme detail.
@@TheSjuris nah, it's more that your local "meteorologists" are typically just communications majors reading teleprompters. Most don't know squat about weather.
@@witchdoctor4377 I’ve known a few they all had degrees in meteorology. Maybe if you live in nowhereville where they can’t actually afford to hire anyone with a degree that’s possible.
@@TheSjuris crazy how people still hold degrees in such high regards, they dont mean shit anymore buddy. pulling the wool over your eyes
@TheSjuris most work for news stations, and most of those have exactly what I mentioned before. The talking heads on the TV get the title of "meteorologist," but they are usually nothing more than a bachelor's in comms, who were given a job called "meteorologist." Now if you want to talk about those that have degrees, that's entirely different, especially since they almost never are in the "talking head" role on the propaganda display we call news.
Those of us in Missouri are just hearing, "We have a chance for rain!"
Also, I like the evenings being in the 60's this time of year before it gets hot in July and August. Last night it was in the 50's and it was enjoyable.
I really hope we get some! I'm tired of getting teased with storms. We need the rain bad here in KC.
Man I miss MO. Got cool at night
Same in Wisconsin... Been dry as a bone since mid April
WI never gets anything but pop up showers that maybe last a minutes and only two city blocks coverd then nothing. Can't even listen anymore we are nit even part of any rain.
@@MB-vi8zp Go CHIEFS!! Yeah, baby!!😊
This guy has replaced me even asking siri the weather 😂 . Thank you Ryan
Apple weather is the worst source of weather there is
@@ryanvandy1615 Tell me about it.
I tell everyone about your channel. It’s awesome!
@@ryanvandy1615 i look at the apple weather app and 90% of the time it is accurate wym
Very first comment I saw was this one and their were 333 likes. Is that good or bad lol?
Reading through the comments, I agree. Ryan makes weather interesting and fun. He has become my "go to" for dependable weather predictions. Not overly dramatized, not fear porn ... just reliable real facts that you can build your life around.
Thanks Ryan!
You're the man!
Even shared your name among some of my political groups so people could get trustworthy weather updates during the recent tornado outbreaks.
So I live in Northeast Florida and last year when the hurricane was suppose to really mess us up,I watched this channel NOT my local News 😂😂
Sigh. I hate severe weather. Looks like Tennessee will be hammered on Sunday. Prayers for everyone impacted by these storms.
Honestly thankful Ryan went over this!! Even though I'm in MA I still worry since Ive never had to deal with a hurricane or tornado
To be fair,in the south,I've never had to deal with a wicked winter storm. Though there was the winter of '93....

I feel like us folks in Michigan have been suffering the most. No rain here for a month. Smoke from western Canada had already been flowing in and now it’s flowing from Ontario. We absolutely NEED a rainstorm. Thunderstorms are just going to set us on fire.
Same here
No rain in a month in our part if Wisconsin. Supposed to have storms coming starting tomorrow
Same here in northern Ohio. Dry as a bone.
Same here in SE Wisconsin! And the smoke from Canada is insane! Hopefully we get the rain that's forecasted for this weekend!
Eh, maybe you guys in upper MI but not down here where I am. No smoke, and not really dry that we NEED rain. The grass is still lush, it was pretty cold in the morning a few days ago. But rain is fine.
I live in East Texas south of Dallas and I can confirm that this weather is super weird. Just yesterday it was clear for most of the day then the skies got black and it was pouring rain for a couple hours with hail. Today it was partly cloudy and it started thundering and lighting a couple hours ago and we’re in for more rain. The UV index is absolutely brutal as well.
Same exact weather here, Paris TX
Imagine weather actually changed. 😮
Ryan, you’re the man. Here in Maryland we went from a winter that wasn’t (zero snow) to an unusually dry late spring early summer. Until today it’s been like 10 + days since we saw rain.
I've just moved to the US. and am already a fan of Ryan's videos😊
Welcome! He is the best at explaining the weather!
Welcome ... and Ryan is the best !!
Welcome! Where are you from?
Welcome to the US!
Thank you so much everyone!❤😊
Severe weather is coming back and I’m here for it! Let’s go Ryan! Don’t be scared be prepared 😤

Michigander here and a bit of rain would be great!
I hear muchigan gas dust on vehicles Parked our side of garages - dusty residue - from bad air quality ? Or what is it ?
I don't even live on the US mainland continent but I really like Ryans videos keeping me up to date on the weather status of my loved ones there. His communication skills are exceptional, and so so easy to follow and stay engaged. Thanks!
5:23 those fires in Canada actually can impact the upper levels over time. That air below the smoke changes the air pressure and adds contrast when systems pass by the south even hundreds of miles away. It's not the main driver but like a slight push. Very interested in following up the teleconnections the next few weeks.
Thank you Ryan for all your hard work ❤
my one brother was born June 1972. The year of a huge flood in our area. We have been here before and we will get through it again. Stay safe and prepared.
Probably due to Hurricane Agnes! I remember that 1972 hurricane! It came straight up the Chesapeake Bay here in Maryland and slammed into Pennsylvania near Harrisburg area! 🤔🌀🌀🌀It's been very dry here on the Mid- Atlantic states and we probably could use another event like that one or at least a few long soaking rains! 🤔🤔🌧️💧🌧️☔☔☔
@@daren7889 yup! he is my younger brother. I was 11 at the time.
Thanks for looking out for All of us I really appreciate all of the weather updates that you keep us posted up on. God Blessings Always to you and your Family 💯❤️
Thank you so much for keeping us all updated. We are all very thankful for you!
I'm actually pleased because our grass is getting very dry in middle TN, and it is June, not dry August. I worry about drought.
Some brown lawns happening in Chicago area with only some sprinkles of rain in weeks.
Grass is more important than anything. Hail green grass! green like my stashed cash! Godbless this Grass. Amen.
I love the animations like the storm with the weak point.
Love the channel. I hope one day you can start letting us NW people know what weather can be expecting. Oregon has been hot and dry mostly for 2 months and it’s making me fear our summer will be wet. We never get early sun and hot days like this before July.
As someone who lives in tornado alley, I’ve noticed since even last year, that the tornado alley as we know it at least seems to have slightly shifted to the east gradually each year
Thank you, Ryan for the excellent report. Let’s get ready, DFW! Don’t be scared - be prepared , and go get those milk sandwiches!
I thought people were stocking up to make French toast. Oops. My bad.

It rained all night here in the Las Vegas area, which is rare. And in south Texas, where my family lives, there's a severe heat wave in effect. It's like we've switched climates. I thoroughly enjoy the way Mr. Hall explains the weather. I just love videos I can learn from.
You are the most entertaining weather man I met and I love watching your videos ❤

Thank you! My hubby is a trucker, so I appreciate the heads up. ❤
He is so much better than the news or the weather channel. Great energy and knowledge. Pretty awesome.
We haven't had any rain or storms in weeks. It's so dry. Wish we'd get rain soon. Thanks, Ryan. We're in Ohio.
I live in northeastern Oklahoma and I've definitely noticed the insane weather changes we've had this week alone- it's gone from 60F to 90F in a day and it's been raining on and off (I'm not surprised because Oklahoma weather flips constantly, but learning about why it's happening makes so much sense)
Loved the “death ridge”. With the exception of little to no rain in western WI for 3-4 consecutive weeks…it has been absolutely gorgeous, warm, no humidity, perfect. RIP death ridge.
Where I live in Michigan, we have had no measurable rain the whole month of May, and the first part of June.
Same in Wisconsin
At least I don't have to cut my grass!! It's dead!
@@stansmith4054 hopefully people don't decide to have a fire in their pit or we will have another forest fire...
Thank you for these update videos! They’re much appreciated!🙏🏻🤍
I miss the intense storms of the midwest now that I live in Phoenix. Occasionally we get a monsoon or a haboob but there is never any real threat. I miss hearing the tornado sirens, the shake of the lightning, the wind screaming through the branches of the trees, and the green skies of impending doom. Our greatest threat is the ever record-breaking summer temperatures which is far less exciting than mother nature trying to suck you into the stratosphere. Have fun out there for me and get it all on video!
wait untill you encounter ball lightning or a flash flood.. naw no threat there
thankyou Ryan as a fellow eastern KY resident always look to you for the best weather updates keep on keepin on !
Thank you Ryan for watching out for us. Appreciate you.
im so thankful for ryan and Andy. The information is so detailed and it’s awesome. That you so much ryan and andy. Thank you for this update on the weather.
I have just found your channel & I have been watching you for the last couple of months & I am so happy
You seem to be pretty right on .. thank for keeping us informed ❤
Ryan, I honestly wish I would’ve found you when I was younger. When I was around 10 I wanted to be a meteorologist but it always seems too complicated. You simplify things so well that the stupidest of people can understand. Keep up the amazing work man!
My favorite meteorologist.
California is so cloudy and cold I'm hating it right now! I'm ready for the sun!!! 😢😢
Thanks for keeping us aware & safe
Thank you for all the clear and concise information ❤
Ryan always provides the best weather analyses ever!
Love your weather reporting. Could you extend it to include Canada? Can’t seem to get anything as good here. Been living in the “Death “Ridge” all of May and now into June - it so hot, dry and windy! Sure could use relief.
I seriously love what you are doing for us! Not only are you preparing us for what's to come and what is possibly coming but you are explaining why it is happening. Most meteorologists dont do that. But one thing I don't like is that every forecasting of tropical disturbances has it coming to the southwest tip of Louisiana
Thank you so much for the update and info! It's much appreciated! Thanks y'all!
This is the worst drought in Michigan in the Spring I've ever seen. There's cracks in the ground three quarters of an inch but corn and soy beans are still germinating. Unbelievable almost worried something else is happening.
I'm down in ohio and we've got corn in v4 maybe v5 and it's still holding strong. Definitely need rain though. Beans are hurting. Guy had to replant the beans at my house because he had a poor stand and we are calling for rain sunday
Same in Wisconsin.
Climate change is a very REAL thing and it's happening right before our eyes!
I was in lower MI for past holiday and saw lots of empty fields still.
This is what worries me because I live where he says tornadoes will be possible later next week and I HATE bad weather. But you know what Ryan says: don’t be scared, be prepared
I feel for you. Hope you have a strong basement or better yet, a bonafide tornado shelter.

“Prepare for a possibility of tornadoes” also means be ready for no electricity if power lines can be damaged. Store a few days of water & “hurricane party” munchies & treats and stuff to make your favorite Non Refrigerated sandwich. Board games, deck of cards, a book to read …
@@mousiebrown1747 Thank you, this is very helpful & I’m trying to get the best information about it. But the forecast doesn’t extend that far so I’ll just have to wait and see.
Hello, Ryan. I watch your channel often, thanks for all you guys do for the nation.
The storms that went through Houston mainly NW Houston were the worst I seen in years. Some areas look like a tornado touched down, but it was just straight line winds from the storms downdrafts and the warm daytime heating. Some people are still without power as several powerlines got knocked down.
Okay. So now that I see this video, I remember the death ridge video. I usually don’t have to water the garden so much in June. Without getting rain since May I was getting concerned. All makes sense now. Thank you Ryan.
We need RAIN, MICHIGAN.
We need rain to stop in Maine!
I will keep praying for all of us for our safety and you guys. Have a great day!
Love your updates and teaching style!
I stumbled onto this channel and I'm so glad I did! I look forward to the weather updates and this week in Boise, Idaho was wacky! 2 inches of rain in 60 minutes on Tuesday evening. Everyday since then, it's been rain in the evenings. Today, Friday the 9th, woke up to rain. And the high winds have left lots of debris in my yard. Maybe I can get the yard cleaned up and lawn mowed before another round of what is come looks like it's coming. Thanks Ryan and as usual spot on! I only watch you now. Cheers!
radar omega has helped me a bit more as here in ft wayne we had a tornado few months ago and probably formed above my house as i noticed it before they even put up a tonado warning! thanks ryan and keep up the good work!

Thanks legend Ryan. Finally got me some rain coming soon. It's been over a month since I seen a drop of rain.
Retired Teacher here! I have made it a practice to listen every single morning to my NOAA weather radio! Best $20.00 I ever spent years ago! No he doesn't! Not as long as he continues to used BS sensationalized terms like "Death Ridge" and "Omega Block"! FFS!

Ryan, that was one the most informative segments on the Big Weather Picture I've seen. You always do a great job with these.
I've been learning how to understand all the excellent on-line tools from NWS, SPC and the various models, but your summaries kind of bring it all together which really helps.
I can see how the animated 500mb map works to provide a pretty good overview of what's coming. It helps me know when I can start doing some of micro-analytics.

I just moved to the Front Range from Arizona and this channel has been great. I'm in the middle now and this weather forecast style is well encompassing the country. Well done, I appreciate the work.
Of course it is that time of year time you get back in to The habit of chasing storms and providing coverage thanks Ryan for the video and as always keep up the great work you’re awesome.
I'm in iowa, I noticed that we got a storm that blew in from the north east. Its almost always out of the west or the south, I cant remember the last time we had a storm blow in from the north, felt weird
It's gorgeous weather on the southern tip of Lake Michigan. Loving highs in the upper 60s and lows in the lower 50s to mid 40s.

I've been waiting for some pretty strong storms to investigate in, and learn from, that includes the potential tropical storm / hurricane in the gulf of mexico expected to pop up. But for the entire month of may, the storms I witnessed were not of interest, and I can finally get excited to do some more research and learning on these upcoming storms. Thank you, Ryan, for letting me know about this upcoming weather, you're a life saver.

Here in Idaho, weather is insane in 2023. It started snowing in Mid November. However, a 5 month winter would show up, snowing for the last time on April 23rd. Next month, on may 23rd, we would be getting a pretty harsh rainstorm, it caused flooding around Idaho Falls. Before it, a supercell was trying to form near my backyard, however, it failed and never touched down.
Weather channel used to do things like this. I so appreciate this content. I should show my Dad as well. He studied meteorology a long time ago. I bet he'd really like this.
