Thanks, Straight to the point. My teacher didn't have time to explain how to find how many subsets are in a set. He gave us a free time today to study but not on zoom. He just gave us the same PowerPoint without a video on how to do it. Thank you.
I have a trick for ya to figure out instantly how many subsets are in a set. Just simply use exponents example 5 subsets so 2 raised to the power of 5=32 :). Hope it helps
I liked you help there butt in the next video about subsets i really think you should list out the subsets fully.... That is gonna help me and other children's in a better way 💙.
Thanks for watching and I did not list out the subsets in this video because it is specifically about using and understanding the formula, and writing out the subsets takes a long time. Though I do wish I would have briefly shown them, without explanation, so students could see what they all actually look like! However, in this video about power sets, we do write out the subsets: ua-cam.com/video/B3L8ZzrZwzA/v-deo.html
Thanks for watching and do you mean to ask if the set { x in R | x < 3 } has infinitely many elements? If so, then yes - because there are infinitely many real numbers less than 3. If you mean to ask if it has infinitely many subsets - also yes, since it has infinitely many elements.
consider the subsets A=(-9,9) ,B=[-3,6] and C= (0,6] of a universal set (-9,9]. find each of the following sets and display them on the number line i.AnB ii (AuB)nC) iii (AuB)'nC'
Thanks for watching! Are you just talking about the arithmetic mean of a data set? To find that, add up the numbers in the set, then divide by the number of numbers! Here is a video I did some time ago on finding the mean: ua-cam.com/video/BDXKsw1-TT0/v-deo.html
Thanks for watching and are you asking how we can determine a set's cardinality based on its number of subsets? If so, we basically just do what we described in this lesson, but backwards. So, if a set has 2^n subsets, then it must have n elements. If a set has infinitely many subsets, then it must have infinitely many elements. Does that help?
