Five, in a metaphorical way, sort of bends down to Viktor’s “eye level” in the way an adult guardian does with their kid, to explain to them what they need to understand. With the way Five holds Viktor’s shoulders, looks him in the eyes, and makes him look at him as well, and uses gentle words like “do you understand me?” and “we don’t have time for this.” to make it clear that what he’s saying is firm, but still compassionate of Viktor’s feelings.
