This is the best recording I have heard. Beautiful and tender. Just right.🇬🇧
An absolutely beautiful interpretation, its sound is a caress, without any trace of violence. Poetry of love without words.
James, Moiseiwitsch more than once said Schumann was his favourite composer. :)
What an artist - what a music!
Thank you for posting this jewel!
Absolutely fabulous. I'd never really thought of Moiseiwitsch as a Schumann-ian before, but this is right up there.
I think probably because Moiseiwitsch lived in the era of the dreaded "all Chopin" recital.
this is a good tempo
Exquisite - "parlando" playing of the highest order in a piece of music which can easily sound almost banal under the hands of lesser pianists.
As originally issued on 78s, this made up the fourth side of the Moonlight sonata.
beautiful
Far better than Gilels, who is much too slow. This really flows, and is full of pathos.
