i actually don't see the point in self interpretation, because it is just deluding yourself.
If what you pursuit is knowledge about the Quran i would recommend the explanations of the scholars. Because they have knowledge of the science of the Quran and they take it from the Salaf.
A great example is Tafsir Sa'di, or Tabarani or Ibn Katheer.
Giant scholars of our times that have passed away May Allah have mercy upon them such as Shaykh Bin Baz, Shaykh Al-Albani, Shaykh ibn Uteymeen, Shaykh Salih al Luhaydaan, etc.
i would suggest you listen to their tapes.
May Allah guide us all ameen.

We're not trying to interpret the Quran, but instead we're trying to see what we understand through this first read through. This is just the beginning of our journey, I'm sure we will go into more depth at a later stage in life.
Thank you for your comment though.

@@PreachARaba i understand you, but trust me when you listen to the words of the scholars everything makes sense, because the scholars use the ethymology the background history and why the verse was revealed.
Especially on verses of ruling it is important to not interpret them by your own because we lack the context of the verse. Why and when was it revealed.
      An example is the verse
39:53) Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."27
An ignorant may understand any sin? So even shirk may be forgiven while he is far from the truth, shirk is a major sin and major sins can be forgiven if one repented before he died.
      Or the verse of
And whoever does not judge by what Allaah has revealed, such are the kaafiroon (disbelievers)” [al-Maa'idah 5:44].
This verse is talking abt kufr duna kufr
And does not necessarily mean that the one who doesn’t rule with the law of Allah means that he becomes a kafir.

@@soldier552 Thanks for sharing those points, I agree with your understanding.
Again, we're not trying to interpret the Quran or state that this is how it should be understood. We are merely sharing our understanding and asking if you have a different perspective to share it.
We encourage you to share any of these views you just shared if they offer a deeper understanding of the verses we're reading. The more you comment and give us perspective, the stronger our education journey continues.

    6:112
For every prophet there will be enemies
Inspiring speech of amusement to deceive people to follow this
(We see this today with Jesus in how they follow deception thinking they are respecting Jesus but there actually disrespecting Jesus and GOD.)
The same thing happened with prophet Muhammad and people are following stories and heresay about him and saying we need other sources when Allahs book is sufficient,
As it is detailed and complete book 6:114
And the majority will mislead you from the path of Allah 6:116
