- For anyone who has ever faced a cancer diagnosis, Eyewitness News Reporter Stacey Sager describes the importance of speaking up, never giving up, and knowing your own body.
As a BRCA-positive woman, Stacey has long advocated for the importance of staying vigilant about both breast and ovarian cancer.
Stacey walks viewers through a deeply personal and shocking journey -- one that is a quarter of a century-long.
She details her 3 separate cancer cases, and how her most recent cancer formed under the rarest of circumstances.
Stacey's doctors from Mount Sinai's Dubin Breast Center of The Tisch Cancer Institute and U Penn's Basser Center for BRCA also enlighten viewers on their thoughts regarding triple-negative breast cancer and the likelihood of vaccines.
A must-see for anyone who hopes to find cancer before it is too late, and the inspirational account of someone who continues to defy her own lifetime risk.
For a better viewing experience, you can stream the series on-demand on our ABC7NY app on Roku, FireTV, Apple TV, and Android TV.

I have not thought about Joan London in years! I followed her in probably the 80s and 90s! She is a brave woman!
Bless your heart, Stacey! My sister thought ignoring symptoms was a sign of strength.
At 29, I had firm symptoms of osteoporosis. I got the best doctor at U.C.S.F., and per her instructions, I called my sister's and the adult niece, advising them to get the scans.
My oldest sister got the scan, but didn't take her medicine. My other sister and I are doing well many years later.
My oldest sister also ignored her cancer symptoms. She, as a result, didn't make it.
Stacey, I love how you advocate for yourself! That's the best example for your daughter's and your other loved ones!
.
Thank you for sharing your story. Cancer runs rampant through my family. I had a prophylactic double mastectomy in 2012 after a biopsy showed LCIS. My md told me it was my decision to make. Pathology came back and found DCIS in both breasts. This did not show up on previous mammograms, ultrasounds or breast MRIs. I wasn't aware there could be a primary recurrence! My 38 year old niece has been battling triple negative breast cancer for 15 months. I pray for all those afflicted with this dreadful disease.
You know something? When you think you got problems!? There are fighters 💪 out there to boost your stamina to go on!!!... Thank you so much to have shared your story..
May GOD and all the Angels Bless!!! YOU.. in your journey...😊😊😊😊😊
You are so very brave. I was diagnosed with triple negative in 2019. I requested a double mastectomy and was in a clinical trial. So far doing ok. And just getting on with it is the only way
You are beautiful and very brave. I was also diagnosed tnbc and I have just finished 6 months of neoadjuvant chemotherapy and a surgery, waiting for radiation therapy. Your story gave me a lot of courage and strength. Thank you very much
from South Korea.
Such a beautiful person inside and out. And was a pleasure working with you ❤️
LOVE and PRAYERS from one cancer patient to another
Bless you and many prayers your way for a full recovery. Im a cancer survivor and know the power of prayers❤
Noone in history has cured cancer by prayers, shows how useless prayers are! Meanwhile actual Chemo treatment has cured many.
Way to be Stacey. I was just diagnosed with a recurrence, BCBM after 3x+ IDC found the day of lockdown 2020 somewhat as a fluke. Never imagined now, esp without cancer anywhere else and completely disease free. The message is never rest on your laurels. Your story is one of the best. Thank you for sharing and I hope everyone listens. To you and to their bodies!
I've never have had breast cancer in my family but I am pulling for you, Stacey
May comfort and many blessings be a part of each of your days.
Thank you Stacey for the courage to make this documentary and share it with us. I amsi grateful
I TOTALLY understand!!
God BLESS YOU & ALL cancer patients.
What an incredible story! You are poised and yet passionate about sharing your story - and you are STRONG. My sister had DCIS stage 0, one side removed, then DCIS stage 1, both in her 40's. Full mastectomy. My cousin had BC at age 47. My aunt had ovarian cancer. Yet, oddly (and thankfully) my sisters and I are BRCA gene negative. So very surprising to find that out. My mom, and her own mom, both died from non-smoking related lung cancer. Perhaps we just have other cancer genes. We get scanned regularly.
God bless you & your family Stacey. 🙏🙏
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR STORY...im stage 3 ovarian cancer almost a year in remission....i know exactly how you feel....and staying postive is the key to fighting this horrible disease...we have to stay strong...god bless❤

😢 I'm so sorry . I don't know who you are at all. Weird this starting playing on my replay on here. I was going to remove it. Then I listened.... You got this 🎉 fight the fight and go on. Keep your chin up and I'm going to see what kind of channel you you have. Oh sounds like you are a reporter... Thank you for your story.

You are beautiful. I opted for a hat, my husband called me the Rebbetzin. Bless you.
I wear it all, I'm so afraid. I don't think k I've heard anything my doctors have said to me, not one word to this day. Prayers are what I count on with Jesus leading me day by day!😢
thanks for sharing. Some of us win 'the lottery' several times.
It is well. God sees us and has the answer even when it feels no one does.
I’m a cancer survivor. Once you get cancer you are never cured unfortunately. Wishing you great recovery! Best to get bilateral ultrasound before you get a mammogram. If you are prone to micro calcifications in your breast and other organs you need to take MK7 - vitamink and magnesium
Dear dear lady I hope and pray that this is your last one. Get out there, go walking, be happy. Xxxxxx bless you
I understand that we need to be proactive & I am one who doesn’t trust in Doctors who don’t Allow you to voice your concerns!
My experience because I had a Mano that was also diagnosed as scattered densities in right breast- so I went for ultrasound and they said to schedule a biopsy!
I wanted even more evidence before a biopsy. ( because friends had been misdiagnosed unnecessarily!)
The day after, I received a letter saying it was Left breast that needed to be ultrasounded!
I was happy that my suspicions were correct. As I saved myself a Biopsy in the right side!
Now I’m confused, as what test will get this right?
I want a test that shows the correct picture.
My Doctor is bullying me to get another Mammogram and don’t question it anymore!
I’m not convinced!
Help?
Stacy , I’m so sorry for your journey yet you are So Strong!
You are Inspiring me & so Many Others by sharing your journey.
I’m 70 and thinking that this treatment Avenue would be my death anyway???
Just not sure , my only Daughter & Grandson are strong and would be fine when I pass - Yet it’s so hard to let go completely?
Not sure if Quality outweighs the treatment.???❤
Also , You look So Beautiful!❤
Two miles! Incredible ❤keep Moving ❤
Her wig IS beautiful.
Getting a mamagram that's for the reminder. Hang in there
😞😔🍷🎇
If it is on your head, it is your hair,,just not your biological hair
I have long ago stopped giving to pink ribbon campaigns. They must have made billions. Literally. With nothing to show for it after 35 years.
I hope this woman finds Dr. Lorraine Day MD. Dr. Day cured her own end stage breast cancer by all natural methods with NO reoccurrence throughout her life. Dr. Day explains why surgery and chemotherapy never work and most people will have reoccurrence with these types of treatments. Most importantly, I hope the woman in this video finds truth and a path to complete healing.
Drs are not God. God decides how much time you have on this earth
God bless you 🙏
