Apache 200 4V Block Piston Replaced at 30,000 KM | Engine Rebuild due to Apache Block Piston Noise

- The Apache 200 is a very refined and reliable motorcycle. But same can't be said for it's spare parts. The bike is reliable but the spare parts aren't durable. I observed increased vibrations at high revvs and an annoying rattling sound from the engine which started increasing day by day. Had to replace the block piston kit . Watch the full video to get a clear idea about the same.

This is why it is highly recommended to use stock fluids, I have got a 2016 rtr 200 which has run 45000kms and there is not even a single issue, i haven't even changed the chain sprocket yet, i use stock tvs oil and change it at every 4000kms, i cruise at 100kmph with no vibrations on highways for many kilometers, There is literally no reason to shift to motul or some other expensive oil.
well said ...TRUE
Iam using motul since I bought my Apache 2021 version completed 25k kms with motul and odo reading is 37k
@@chakravarthireddy9510 What does this mean? Is there Error in reading or any other issue?
Same here well said
@@shreyasdharashivkar8027I'm saying I rode 25k kms with motul oil and it didn't damage anything so motul isn't the thing which killed the bike in the video
My rtr complete 51500km still engine in stoke condition i have done many long ride along whit last year ladkh secrit whit umlingla pass still runs good
Felling sad to see your rtr major break down on only 30k km but sometimes we can't blame any one i hope it's ok now after chang block kit also happy for u it chang in warranty still i think tvs makes good bikes as indian company i proud on tvs
I completed 55k kilometres on my apache rtr 200 and recently changed major components under warranty
mereko lgta hai... India ka sabse best tvs service centre yahi hai....😂😂
nhi to kya kya nhi change karvaya,, 2bar engine, 1bar throtal body, silencer, aur bhi kya-kya....😂😂😂😂
free me bhi hoga tab bhi hum isko sell kr dete... bhai har 15 din me kon service centre jayega...😂
This is not a problem per se, the bore is a consumable part. This is a part of regular wear and tear. Did the mechanics not suggest changing the piston rings first? Earlier, oversized rings were used to deal with this problem on older engine blocks.
My 2021 rtr 200 has done around 60k kms , everything other than the service is good
MINE RTR 2004V IS ABOUT 7 YEARS AND 50K RUNNING WITHOUT ANY ISSUE, AND STOCK OIL GRADE WITH TRUE 4.
WHEN U PLAY WITH GRADES THIS HAPPENS, AND FURTHER WOULD HAPPEN THEN U WOULD BLAME TVS. ATLAST.
RTR engines are very robust. TVS provides very good quality engines with RTR. It's a pity that you experienced otherwise. I have ridden 60k kms in 4 yrs and I really like to revv the engine. So far no problem with the engine. TVS service centres are pretty hard to work with.
True...2018 tvs jupiter clocked 25k kms...roughly used...skipped services...still running like charm
Bro pistons rings and pistons is wear because of cank shaft play and if you don't repair it it will again wearout
I've replaced the same on my RTR 200 4v at 32K KM.
After that I drove the bike 1000 km and sold due to poor workmanship
yup ,Skilled people are needed to maintain such bike otherwise selling is the only option
Your vedios are very informative brother ❤
@@Streetowner_46 Thanks brother 🚀
Brother, I want to clarify one thing, my tvs raider sounds normal during cold start but after a 5 km ride, I mean when the engine heats up, it sounds exactly how your bike sounded.Should I be worried 😢??
always use right oil Grade, the brand can be you choice but dont play with oil GRADE.
MY BLOCK PISTON CHANGED AT 75000 KMS. MINE IS RTR 160 4V - 2018 MODEL
how much did it cost ?
Heavy grade oil your bike loose the engine use the recomended grade oil every time and safe ride
Bro, I will suggest don't use that used oil because it is having metal particles which can again damage engine
Why ur bike have so many problems ? Iam using same apache 2004v completed 38,000 km in 2 years until now theres no issue. Previously there was a oil leak issue they fixt it
why you got the problem is it due to Engine oli that you used that is motul 10w 40 ?
I suggest use only tvs lubricants which is tested and more than enough.
Yup...company sold oils are tried and tested...using yamaha oil in my r15
Should change the engine oil within 3k km regardless of any brand .
Same problem. Last year changed klla and ata Puna same problem in one year
Bhai isme oil treatment dalo (Abro) ka
Bhai still waiting for launch of top rack..🙁
Me 5sal se R15 v3 chala hu 70,000 plus chala chuka hu abhi tak koi problem nahi 50 plus ka milage aj bhi nikal raha hai
Biggest mistake of my life that i have bought TVS apache
Also Me Bro Yeh Apache Main Itna Kaam Niklta Hai na Aur Parts Bhi Bahut Iska Cheap Quality Hai
Me also bro... TVS ki service toh pucho hi mat.. akdam 3rd class hain..
same
buy honda and be happy😂❤
Exactly bro engine garam hone ke bad noise aana start ho jata hai new valves lagaye but firvi same problem 😢
Same problem in my tvs sport i change there block piston change 2 time's
I change 18 k kilometre 🤣😄😖 new bore kit, poor quality engine
Bhai maine kal change karavaya 55k+km ke baad 😊
Tappet Sound ke bare mein kya solution ho sakta hai. I want to know your thoughts on this topic.
Bhai hb u evr faced....compresson issue in this byyk????
Brother use company recommended engine oil, don't think out of the box.
Bhai tum engin oil jyada grad wala mt use kro patla oil hi dalwao
Mere pass 1604v hai 5 saal ho gye kuch nahi hua sirf clutch plate change Kiya hai
No way they will change the block piston for normal people
Service center ka mechanic treat ke chalte ekdin iska bike pura replace kara dega 😂, company ki esi tesi kr raha. Jitna play dikhaya hain koi bhi avg bike ke block piston me itna play hota hain.
Same sound problem in my bike 😢
Where you live in Maharashtra?
Bro can you ship that visor for my rtr to nepal ?
Mera 57000 km p hua change i paid 11000
Part 2 😢
Todha hard race kam karo aur thoda engine ki care karo
Hi bro I need rtr top rack kit pls help me out I DM RK custom he’s not responding to my DM
Vhai 160 4v may vi hay

Keeping discussions aside about this oil and that oil have created this problem, Just listen and mark my words.
In the coming service, after 500kms, DONOT PUT THAT OLD OIL. I MEAN IT.
You make sure that clutch cover is opened and every thing is cleaned to the core with petrol and dried well and put NEW OIL AND NEW OIL FILTER ONLY. Actually they should Flush every bit of the engine parts while fitting a new block kit.
Never make a mistake putting old oil in a new block kit even if it had run very few Kms. It will be a blunder.
Gift that oil to your friend or use it in another old vehicle and that too only after thorough filtering.
And coming to your problem, piston getting loosened might happen to any bike and its not like about an Indian or Japanese brand. I have even seen a well maintained Unicorn having engine problem under 40K and an average maintained Bajaj bike going perfectly fine even after 60K.
It all depends on various factors starting from manufacturing defects to riding, maintenance etc.
I agree. Can you say more on why is it not recommended to use the old oil? It will have some minor particles from the container in which it's stored?
Also, what's your take on the oil grade and brand? I feel that changing viscosity isn't a good idea, maybe brand can still be changed.
@@sanketjain9320New bore kit needs fresh oil to get settled as old oil will always have traces of metals, waste materials from clutch plates wear and tear, accumulated black soot particles from engine.
These all will not allow new bore to settle perfectly.
And coming to engine oil grade. Simple formula.
You can go a grade further of your company recommended grade but never go back. No harm in it. It will just make your engine little safe if you are revving it.
If 10w30 is recommened you can go for 10w40. It will increase the parts life obviously in extreme running conditions.
But for a bike which recommends 10w40 and 20w50 you should never go to 10w30. Your engine internals will wear down soon.
ये सारे मैकेनिक ऐसे ही कहते हैँ कुछ भी कर ले अप्पचे मै आवाज आये गी ही, कुछ भी डलवाले, 4व बाइक बकवास हैँ,
Well this is not acceptable just in 30k block piston gone 😢
