1993 Peugeot 205 Walkround and Start-Up

A little tour of my 1993 1.1 Peugeot 205 Style. The car has been sitting garaged for the last 5 months whilst I'm away at university but will come out again for a few months in summer.

The engine is in pretty good shape! Starts right up, only a shame it hasn't got the power steering,

In love with your Peugeot!! I'm 19 and it's my dream car... Did the revs drop when you put the lights on??🤣 I used to have a 205 in the family until the cambelt snapped and that was that!

Jamie Haigh UK I’m 19 as well and I’ve owned it since I had just turned 17. You did hear that right they do drop as the alternator has to do a bit more work than it wants to 😂

It's normal for the revs to drop when you load up the alternator at idle.

What are these like on cold starts? I do shift work and have to get up early in the winter, really love the look but im worried that they will be challenging to use as a daily commuter especially on cold winter mornings because of the manual carburetor

Mine is an SPI so doesn’t have a manual carb but always started first time when I dailyed it in the British winters. Obviously never as cold as some parts of the world but was kept in a car port at the time and never had any issues getting to college and back

They start just fine in the cold, mine is 1.1 manual choke on the carb. Just have to give it full choke when starting at 0 and below, warms up in about 5mins then can push choke in fully.

must've been just before they added injection as mine is 1993 but injection.
