  • wtf was this match LMFAO I'm still so confused on how I stayed in this. Really tough one. A full hour of fighting and somehow through multiple Tigers I stay alive. Teammates kicked ass.

    Just don’t let the Sherman have to auto fire target you have to change target mode on the Sherman’s to vehicle target you let it target random enemy around it plus you used the M8 SPG with the Sherman

    I do think USF recovery truck is bit less memey since Coral Viper 1.6.5, with the associated buffs and the game tilting back in allies favor in 4v4. USF use to be a bit more Divey but I think the Chafee and Hellcat nerfs made that less true and now its more on Axis to make things happen, and the DAK recovery vehicle is more expensive to unlock then build. I mean its 6 second faster on med tank, heals 25% instead of 10% which is about 3-5 seconds of repair time, and cost 40% instead of 10% to recover a vehicle. For E8s the wreck recovery is actually cheaper since it does not actually 650 to build one but 440.
    What happen in this game was that due to the choice of tech and you ended up with more fuel then manpower. The old best strategy with Armored was actually 2x jeep when fast deploy was 0CP, if a jeep got 1 vet dump team weapon for manpower saves, mostly ignore fuel, med tent+ advance logistic to dump to burn the enemy down with efficient rifleman or combat engi trade and then pump E8 with the surplus of manpower. The Scott and ambulance mean you're most 1 E8 behind. The idea is that not only would you trade better,rifle cost about 9 less manpower per to reinforce, but if it put them further behind.
    Also is building a tank depo + warmachine to make easy 8 bad? I don't often see this BG in multiplayer because I assume its missing off-map, struggle with AT in the midgame. So I assume its a weak BG and I think with your tech routing it might make sense to try AT halftrack, chafees, and yeah with an early warmachine into building E8 so to be manpower efficient, but that sound volatile as hell.
    Seek and Destroy is from my understanding is really good, gamebreakingly powerful when this BG was stronger, and would have help with to dump the muni float.
    The jeep is an interesting one, the weapon it drops cost munition and using reinforced unit. It saves about 108 manpower on the mortar and 104 on the MG for 75 muni, also lets you skip the weapon support center for the MG. I think people don't like it because it doomed to die but I think its worth it if it can either pick off 5-10 infantry, score a bike kill, half health repairs are worth 1-2 kill worth of "tanking damage", and a weapon drop is worth 3-4 unit kills. Forcing retreats and capturing territory is worth something but not sure how much.
    The armored battle-group lost,cost 1CP fast deploy, Advance Logistic being 10 fuel more expensive, stronger DAK 250s + buffed Tigers, Captain losing 1 unit in the squad, the Scott lost free White Phosphorus that burn 3/4 a team weapon, and the insanity that was USF mortar's delay fuse. It has the option to build E8 from tank depo, recovery truck buff, and the Scott bunker buster range went from 50->75 range it only hits point blank, has a delay, is weak but 75 range is nuts, I saw it in a game Tightrope casted. Was kinda disappointed when I didn't see it here.

      Good points! I agree with you that the recovery truck is way less meme. It actually probably was the one unit that saved me here being honest.
      Yeah I made some weird decisions and am just not used to playing USF, especially armored for USF too. I got out the scott and med truck because I panicked and thought if I didn't strengthen my army immediately I was at risk of getting run off the map.
      I should have done double jeep! I was thinking about it at the start but got worried because I knew they would both die like you said. But I agree the trade off is worth it.
      Maybe I'll have to try that strat again but with 2 jeeps and buildings ez8s instead of call in

      @@Turtlewar I think the truck is not seen more due USF armored that the safe build is pretty much rifle or engi spam into E8, it was boring even when it was good. The alternative heavily overlap with UKF and that seems like the better version, dingo>jeep, vickers, foot guards, and E8>Grants. Also, Bishop>Scotts and you still have off maps.
      You can ID that your build is inefficient when you float special resources in any game, it means your "not curving out". Any resource not use is wasted after the game. In this case your build hogs too much manpower and lacks munition dumps. Until the recovery truck arrived of course.
      -The med truck is a interesting choice likely bad because USF rarely go WSC. Snipers are too risky, USF MGs are the worst MGs, zooks are too squishy, and M3 are memey. Zooks use to be OK due to White Phosphorous round being good anti infantry but that got nerfed. USF tents are most likely the best healing in the game, It pays itself off with the first squad it heals and provide free reinforcements.
      -The med truck on the other hand cost almost triple the MP, 15 more fuel, and 50 munitions. It might be sup-optimal but it also loses a lot of its utility due to fact that team weapon were not used in the game. It significantly delay healing and set you up for less manpower down the road. I think it would be interesting but most likely still not good if it got jeep drops.
      -The Scott actually use to be really good until it's version of White P. got nerf, that use to be free and nearly wipe a team weapon. Now its 100% a meme, too expensive, and S&D is a win condition with multiple E8. It also exert almost no pressure due to how weak against infantry and does no damage to armor.
      Then going into E8 call ins which cost 650 MP. The issue is the routing lacks an on-ramp to this, the main advantage of this is skipping the tank depo for a super tank very quickly before anything can deal with this but the delays made it not so good. Its not a Tiger or a Black Prince, the delays mean it missed it timing.
      I don't think you need to always go full meta but even when playing off meta its important to tighten up the build. The build lack cohesion even off-meta, leaving you on the backfoot, and hurts you when you get to the centerpiece of the BG which is the E8. I don't know if its even good but WM only cost 3 CP, it could've save you some manpower to build E8s, if you opt to build from the tank depo its 7 CP total with S&D and doesn't cost you an extra engineer each time.
      As for the jeep, one is most likely safe even if you lose it early. 2 might be super good but in 100 games it might be throwy in some of those games. Might be a D-move with PUGs. My comment about the jeep is aimed at the fact I think people have a bias against it because you're doom to lose it at some point but infantry aren't free either, they are, just discounted and. I think even if you do lose it at some point, it can bring enough value where it justify building it. Good early game tempo can effect the rest of the game that why it dangerous to buff early game unit like the dingo then it is to buff things like the Tiger. Dingo are obvious build because it beats everything before AT hits the field and even without light recall its super good, jeep maybe less so but good in 1v1 and it might be good in 4v4 too.

      Coh2 is still playable and has plenty of people playing. But coh3 is 50% off right now on humble bundle and I think that is a great deal if you want to buy it! Coh3 is a lot of fun
