@@LethalThreat rated less but max thrust was recorded at over 130K pounds of thrust, just like the 115B which recorded its max thrust at 127,900 lbs of thrust.
Jomari Apa Correct, when running them “balls to the wall”, over the limit. For normal operation recommended by GE, only a max continuous of 105K. It’s a truly amazing engine. I can’t wait to see it fly and perform. Part of me wishes GE one upped themselves with the GE9X and rated them at 120-125K for the 777-9, and 115K for the 777-8. I guess they feel it isn’t needed and is more fuel efficient where it’s at. Maybe one day!
Yeah... looks cool. But I don't trust Boeing anymore. A design flaw because of an honest mistake by an engineer is forgivable. But a deliberate cutting of corners motivated by greed is not.
00:49 WORLDs BEST DRAG RACE!
Those pair of GE9X engines are hugh! Looking forward to the first flight!
That they are, but believe it or not, their max thrust output is actually 10k pounds of thrust less than the current GE90-115B.

Recycling of old designs is a sure sign new aircraft are coming to market with cost cutting and schedule as priorities.
