Fantastic band and Johnny Crawford. Wish I could have seen him and his band live. I love the big band era and songs.. and Johnny and his band did a superb job of bringing it back.. A+ JOHNNY AND THE BAND.. What a class act he has been his whole life Love Johnny Crawford..
Just found this through the Facebook Johnny Crawford Legacy page. This song is based on the story of how his grandparents met. Grandfather Bobby Crawford was music publishing legend "Bobby Crawford was to music publishing what Joe DiMaggio was to baseball." He managed Irving Berlin's catalog before going out on his own.
Johnny, a great song and show. You touched our lives in Ohio so deeply. For who you are today and how you treat others. I will never forget meeting you also i will always enjoy you travels. What a nice person you are. Davy
l may be wrong but a few songs he sang including this one sounds a lot like the music he learned from his dad, the music he listened to as a child from his dad's era.I could be wrong.
Not sure if in this day and age you could have a TV show where the star kills an average of 3 people per episode. Even though they needed a killing of course!
Simply superb. Johnny was my neighbor for a while, until his illness and passing. A wonderful man. We’d stop and chat when he was out gardening
He is single handedly attempting to make this generation aware of this wonderful era of music! I love this!
Lots of this music in the film Paper Moon! : )
Thank you, Johnny, for giving us memorable, beautiful music. You will not be forgotten by your loyal and appreciative fans.
God bless you,Johnny.Rest in Peace with your Heavenly Father and your best friend,Chuck Connors.

I love this kind of music. Love Johnny too. Wonder if he still heads this orchestra. Would love for him to come to Long Island, NY.
Johnny now has advanced Alzheimer's!
If you guys were booked into the Valley Forge Casino Resort in Pennsylvania I would be there.
It's sad to here about his set back
Mark McCain knows how to .
i like his "joie de vivre"
It looks like Johnny is conducting with a drumstick instead of a baton. He must have left it at home that day.
What a great performer. He actually looks a bit like Henry Ford in this clip..
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😀

I never saw a band leader use a drumstick for a baton before.
Neil Peart!!
What a combination if he could have teamed up with Pokey Lafarge for just one album.
I hear say that they might revive the series "The Rifleman" pretty soon.
Carmen Star impossible..who the hell will play him ? or his pops , Chuck Conner's!! please an impossibility
Reallly? "Who the hell will play him?" No other form to say that? They revived Hawaii 5-0; Lethal Weapon; Training Day Never heard of other actors?
