Amen - especially to your second sentence! Saw him as Balanchine's Prodigal Son last season... phenomenal dancing and dramatic presence. Just saw him in Fancy Free; what a great sense of theater he has, each one of Robbins's "bits" landed squarely on target.
Thanks. I agree fully with you. Sadly, I missed on Derek's and Lia's great performance in Prodigal Son this past season, but saw an excerpt and was absolutely amazed by everything. But I just had the pleasure seeing Derek's debut in Fancy Free this past Saturday (matinee) and then again on Sunday (matinee). God, he was absolutely brilliant!

I agree with Gabriel. He's seriously one of the best male dancers out there...in the world! Incredible! His solo in "In the Middle.." to this day is the best performed male variation of that particular ballet to date.

I love Derek! I still remember the first time I saw him from yagp when he was 12 and from that moment I started loving him! I love him, he is one of the best dancers all over the world and seeing him know dancing as principal makes me so happy and I wish I can go to Boston to see him
