- Oh my god, finally....my baby...it's finished :'D
As you will see, I only used countries which participated in the mentioned war.
All pictures were found on photobucket.com and deviantart.com and I did not draw a single one of them. Obviously.
- -
Thank you so much for your lovely comments guys :'D Ilu ♥
Although I don't reply to every comment (only because I feel kinda stupid saying "Thank you!" over and over again), every single one of them makes me happy and is really, really loved! - Розваги
No matter how random the show may be or how funny it is, history just comes back and hits us it the feels.....
When you watch videos like this, do you just have this urge to suddenly just look up on the history of other countries and find out more about the wars and just pay attention more in history class?
if hetalia was a drama or even dramedy it would be "OVER 9000" times better than it already is. I actualy like the fan art way better than the show.
I feel the same way xD
Agreed
***** I like the show, most of the time, and it's really funny, most of the time. I like for what it is and appreciate when it decides to be deep. I would just like to see the same concept of "the embodiments of the nations during war time" taken seriously. Just to see what it'd be like.
***** If Beautiful World is anything to go by, they do seem to be putting a few more feelsy episodes out. I mean, that one with France and the couple, I was nearly in tears then, so sad...
My best friend and I have a story we wrote together that's as feelsy as this art if not more. I'm in tears just thinking about it. We used to revisit the story as an RP every single week for a few years. It dealt with Germany and an original character.
01:33 I dont know if anyone noticed this picture, but oh my gawd, the feels...
Oh god...
I haven't noticed before I saw your comment...
it's been ten years and this is still my favorite one i always come back to it and it makes me so emotional
Europe was is chaos back then.
Butter Marshmellow it's still a chaos, just in a different way
No matter what happens, war is such a terrible thing...
Love the vid, though. It gets my feels going.
War is what drives our economy, and what drives a lot of our emotion. Without war, a LOT of people would be without jobs, a sad but true fact. The US, in fact, has been riding on a wartime economy since it drove itself out of the Great Depression in 1941. Without constant wars they'd lose a lot of internal business, and everyone in the armed forces and arms industry would swiftly be out of a job .-.
SnprMk7
But that still doesn't mean war is a good thing. Innocent people are the ones who end up suffering for it. And as far as I'm concerned, most wars are pointless anyway, so you have people dying for no real reason.
But that's just a pacifist's opinion. I'm not afraid to admit that I'm horribly naive. I just hate that innocent people are the ones being punished for such conflict.
This is the most inspiring song I've ever heard.
Time to make my drawing skills better so I can draw my OC like this.
I love this!!
tbh i think it makes sense to show the actual participants of the battle, though your point is still true.
+Amu Fujibioshi
(I think so too... 100 years was UK/France, Gallipoli was Turkey/Greece, Waterloo would make sense to show France but not so much England and the disposessed with bombs are probably anything but Prussian; the video is still a big great cake of awesomeness, though)
I saw some comments saying that people feel like cowards and feel weak because of their age. Don't think like that! Age has not matter when it comes to opinions and thoughts. All you must do is too get the courage and make your voice heard.
I agree we are all strong and have the best of courage no matter age.
I can't believe I found this just now, such a well done amv, nice job
I was obsessed with this song and this video some years ago. Still one of best put together fan videos
That's so true.
The instrumental version of this song is called "Tales of electric Romeo" by Immediate Music.(Globus is a sinfonic rock band created by Immediate Music) If you like trailer music, orchestration and all this stuff, I recommend you to search Immediate Music albums, some of their scores have been used thousands of times. (I think Michael Bay touches himself everytime they released a new theme xD)
This song is called Europa...just puttin that out dere.
rhopalo yes they now, look at the beginning of the video
Oh mon dieu, cette musique est magnifique 'o'
En même temps c'est Globus. 'n'
Goodness me that gives me the shivers! I remember there's a Hetalia fanfic called Europa that's written with this song.
It just makes it so much sadder that there are such powerful fanart about these dark periods that the canon has glanced over, and you've done brilliantly in putting words, music and images together. Thanks for sharing!
*Still got goosebumps*
i really love really listening and visualizing the words the singers are saying, and it always make my blood run cold with realization and sadness, but i cant stop listening to it
This is hands-down the best slideshow I've seen for this song. I love this song to DEATH and It fits APH so perfectly.....THANK YOU FOR YOUR EPIC BEAUTIFUL VIDEO.
This is probably one of the three best videos of this fandom.
And, with this, I have probably said it all.
This made me start to breath really heavy and almost cry... and then the violin played and I stopped... and then started again. You somehow managed to play puppeteer to my emotions with a single video.
I'm literally crying from the pure and utter epicness of this video. Sincerely thank you for this.
Favorite APH vid ever, which is quite a compliment considering this is a very creative fandom. It actually makes you think about Europe, so peaceful now (at least compared to the rest of the world), but with centuries and centuries of continual bloodshed under its belt. Seems ridiculous that humans need to go through all that just to realize the universal travesty of war.
I must say, this is a super awesome vid. The song, the pic, the effect... all together makes this vid awesome. I love it so much. Thank you for making this -hug- :)
I know Ive seen this time and time before, but I must say again. makes me emotional every time I watch it. Such a strong song....and the talent it took to put this video together.
This is such a powerful song and such an amazing video. You did a wonderful job, and I'll be sure to watch this over and over again!
This is really well put together! It goes really well with the music, I love it! :D
Holy shit this is amazing. I love how you darkened (?) the pictures, and the timing is perfect.
BRB DOWNLOADING THIS
FANGASM REACHED EXPLOSIVE LEVELS.
i love you for making this. :}
@IHerzMilka
I cried, it's just so beautiful. thank you for putting this on UA-cam :,)
i showed this video 2 my grandpas & they broke down crying cause it hit home. my family is full of soldier who fought for their homes.
I have never heard this song before... you have presented it to me in the grandest fashion. I can't tell you how much i love this video.
This video. WOW. just wow. I think I am in love! Thank you so so so soooooo much for making this :D
"There's hate for life" [shows England]
"And death in hate" [shows Joan of Arc]
OH MY GOSH THAT'S SO SAD BUT FITS SO WELL!
I just love how right at the beginning, it sounds like Italy's voice!
I've seen so many videos for this song, but this one I just-
Wow.
This is really good. I usually watch cosplay videos, but this one somehow just struck something.
Even though this video was beautifully made and the song was heartbreaking, both did remind me I adore European history. The romance, humanity in its brightest and rawest forms... holy smokes it makes me wanna swoon...Have I mentioned that this video was BEAUTIFUL?!
I don't think I can think of an adjective powerful enough to describe the sheer awesomeness of this.
This is beautiful, and it almost brought me to tears. I know that's it's kinda sad, but I think about all of the scars and hurt that each country/character must bear and how they've all suffered terribly in the past. And I know this is a nit evil of me, but I'm glad that each country was included, because most people concentrate on Russia when making videos about evilness
Your baby is f'ing amazing.
This is ridiculously full of AWESOMENESS.
Whoa, that was epic. Prettiest video I've seen in a long time, I love how you incorporated so many countries together and used the lyrics :) and the lighting was lovely. Beautiful :D
i'll say it easily..."THAT WAS THE BEST FRIGGIN SLIDESHOW I'VE EVER SEEN" nuff said.
I'm so happy I clicked this... I can't express how much impact this vid had on me ;A; still speachless!
Very good a very close second to the other, more popular, version of this. Your hard work payed off.
OMG!! This was amazing!!!
With this, I reassured that Hetalia is the best way to learn history.
this.... THIS. this should be the most watched video on UA-cam. Period.
amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Those two that said they didn't like this video must have something wrong with them. It's so moving and well put together!
h-h-h-h-h-holy crap. . . . *still shivering* that was . . . .. . . . . gah, i need a new word made to describe how great this was. O-O
Amaxing...simply amazing. So dramatic amazing how such talent can make such a comical anime turn...dramatic and serious
This literally was the only thing that got me to pass history. Thank you.
This has to be the most epic (and freaking AWESOME, since there's so much Prussia in it) Hetalia PV of this song! :O Seriously, this video is a Masterpiece. The effects and the pictures gave me chills. That's how awesome it is!
I've watched tons of Europa-vids, and this - along with another - had the greatest impact on me. Aww, this is SO perfect. I love it - I'm in love with it. ♥
Great job!
Wow! Just... Wow! One of the best Hetalia videos I've watched here on youtube. And I mean best as 'In the Top 5' best. Good work! =)
Bannockburn was a Scottish battle... The last big battle fought in my country by its people...
I can't say I know anything about Bannockburn, but I'd say the reason they went with England would be the lack of canon!Scotland, at least at the time that this video was made.
Woah I watched that in full view. That must be the most amazing slideshow ever 0_0 I kid you not.
This is just...omg. It's so amazing! It's videos like this that make love Hetalia even more. :D
-Chokes- Omfg, this is EPIC! Best hetalia vid i've ever seen, the anime isn't like this, but you make it look so Pro! Hetalia ftw! ~
Wow! It's just awesome!
Music is perfect!
Pictures are amazing!
I love it!
By the way: 2:56 is a wonderful drawing! *-*
You have no idea.... how perfect this is.
definitely not the only one - I would watch that, and it'd probably make me cry so much because I love all the characters.. I honestly think someone should make that. It'd probably be really controversial, but I'm sure the majority of Hetalia fans would love it ^-^
Your video really harnesses the intensity of the song. Wow. Nice work
Every time I watch this, it gives me shivers.
Awesome video.
THIS SONG HAS BEEN ADDED TO YOUR IPOD.
:D
Gosh that was so epic!!!
First off, this video is brilliant. Not only was everything timed perfectly, but the song choice couldn't have been better. This is by far the best warsong ever written. It brings tears to my eyes, and for me to do that its gotta be deep. Its so true, and so sad. Its a shame the world has to be like this. But it was predetermined.....and it will always be war...
I agree!
And not just swords, they should bring back some of the other older weapons.
Dude, I started crying at 3:25. Oh my gosh. This was epic
You broke my heart with the picture of Young!France and Chibi!England at the end. I mean, everything was horrible in general, but that picture was the last straw for me. /sniff
This video brought tears to my eyes.
The most epic thing I've seen in awhile. You sir deserve an ego boost. *Bows*
Am I the only one that thinks having a serious anime version of Hetalia, that starts at the begining of recorded history to now, would be so epic that it would blow minds?
Plus it could be used as a teaching tool for history classes...
It amazes me how you managed to make a video to a song about war and have so little blood on it. Also, this song gives me chills.
gives me chills everytime
Every time I watch this, my fangirl heart explodes...
OMG YES! I have been thinking the same thing for a long time! I would seriously pay money to watch something like that!
So... amazing.... Such an impact. So intense and just... amazing! Thanks for sharing, WONDERFUL JOB!
I remember way back when... this was the first hetalia video I watched, I think.
And this is what made me fall for the anime.
I love this video!!! Words cannot describe how wonderful it is!
-dang it- These slide of Hetalia just make me love study world history way too much... although i did not involve in any kind of situation i can feel the sadness and bloody in there... gotta remember the song xD *wish i could show it to my teacher*
YOU JUST BLINDED ME. IT WAS THAT EPIC.
This, this made me cry, and I don't say that often. It was amazing~
@missmisa1000 the reason is because you, like me, are one of the ones who really listens to what a song says, and knows their history and are impacted by the mere mentioning of the name of these events in history
@LivingtheDollsDream Actually, that design is from a fanmade videogame called RomaHeta. It's pretty cool if you have the time to watch it, thoguh sadly it's not finished nor will ever be, because it was gaining more popularity than the actual series lol
i loved the lighting in this
Beautiful video, I love it. its really well done and the song is the kind of song I would download and listen to all the time;
this sent shivers down my spine!
"The victors of
This war on fear
Will rule for the next *thousand years*"....
Just incredible...you deserve an award for this video. I commend you *bow*
so EPIC!!! that was so awesome!!! I really liked it! :D
@Creperieable Thank you so much
it's really.. perfect!!! *w* maybe one of the most beutiful vids i found on the net! i'll save it NOW!
Wow...just...This is so fan-fucking-tastic!
Thank you so much for doing this awesome work, now I can rest in peace :')
(Italy is here!!)
wow!!!!! this video gave me chills! GOOD JOB!
@ReasonsforNitemares Well, to be fair the Roses War was an English Civil War, but I see your point. Prussia pretty much went through his entire life fighting. In England's case it was because he started off so weak that he had to keep fighting just to survive. Then he became an Empire and he kept on fighting so he could hold onto power.
Oh dude my boyfriend posted this on his Facebook and this just made my freakin' day.
Someones NEEDS to do an animation about this song and Hetalia!! It fits just perfectly.
Ahh, the Roses War. Wales' day to shine.
You know, rather than mentioning that the artwork was simply from 'deviantart', it wouldn't hurt to take the effort to go find the DA artists to ask for their permission. Not only will it help promote their artwork in a more honest way, but they can be aware where their artwork was being showcased even if this is a good AMV.
Please take the effort to link to the web address of these fanworks?
Being that the author uploaded it in 2010, I'm afraid ous account is de-activated now.
i swear i cant get enough of this song ^w^
"With every great empire, comes a great fall."
This is such an amazing video. An awesome song choice, especially for Hetalia.
you are my hero! *passes out from pure awsomeness*
This is amazing. The song selection, the art you chose, the editing--it's a masterpiece. I have my Honors World Lit coolege students make AMVs based on characters from the texts we read. If you had submitted this, you would have earned an A+++. I'd love to show this to them and say, "This is an example of A work." They'd cry and give up b/c they couldn't match your awesome!
Holy CRAP. That was so intense. Amazing!
