One of my friends works at Sephora and she said the black beauty blender is supposed to be better for full coverage foundations. The white one is more for bob creams etc and the pink is perfect for more light to medium coverage. Not sure how accurate it is but I definitely will be picking the black one up to test it out!

Actually, totally not trying to be an asshole, but just wanted to let you know the truth... The black beauty blender is is called the Pro, and it is made for pro muas, its also good for women of color and for applying sunless tanners, etc. because it wont show staining. The Pink is the Original, and you can use it for anything, foundation, blush, etc... The Nude sponge is mainly for foundations, and the White sponge is primarily for skincare but is also for sensitive skin, and can also be used for foundations. The texture of the Pink, Nude and White sponges are all the same. Just the colors are different. And the uses are based on the color of the sponges and the staining they might receive from them. The black is a bit more firm because its the Pro sponge and its meant to have a bit more life to it because of the wear and tear it will receive in a pro kit. And the white is slightly softer for applying skincare and for sensitive skin. Overall tho, they are almost identical

Hey! Can you please do a video where you do a foundation application on a person with acne prone skin, which concentrates on how to actually cover acne, redness, hyper pigmentation & acne scars? I know it's a lot to ask for, but I am 19 and I am struggling with acne a lot. I have been living with it since I was 11 years old. It would be very helpful & informative for me and I am sure a lot of others girls struggling with acne! I have also been diagnosed with derealization and it honestly makes me feel really happy that I'm not alone. (Not saying I'm glad you have it.. it's awful, I know) I feel so inspired by you! Not just in the beauty world anymore. Throughout the years you've really opened up with us and now I'm inspired by you in lots of ways. For instance, we both suffer from lots of the same mental illnesses and look at how successful you are. That gives me hope that I can be as successful as you, despite all of my obstacles. I wish I could just borrow you for a day to just bring that light-hearted attitude into my life. Omg derealization is the worst. Totally feel you. What's helped me is keeping busy doing things that occupy my mind and make me happy. Especially getting outside and interacting with other people :) So glad you're feeling better! For the longest time I felt like I couldn't get away from it and I got extremely depressed which just made it worse. It's all about trying your best to make yourself happy and lifting yourself out of that fog.
I love when she does the chit chat grwm and she mostly talks about makeup. I learn a lot and I find out a lot of makeup products.

Hearing Jaclyn talk about anxiety and going to therapy is really comforting.
I've been going to therapy for my depression and anxiety for 7-8 years now and I hate sharing that part of me with some people but honestly, if it means I'm working on myself then it's a good thing. And hearing Jaclyn talk about how she went 3 times a week for 8 months I was in mshock really. I only go once a week (for financial reasons) but I think it's great that she has found solutions to her anxieties. I hope to get there someday! 😊

After hearing you talk about your experience with derealization, I did some research, as it sounded like something I've been experiencing for a while. I hadn't been able to really explain what I'd been feeling, but all of the symptoms match up completely with what I've been experiencing. Now I will be able to hopefully get help with it. If you could make video talking about those texture-y pimples that would help me so much. I've tried so many things to clear them but nothing seems to work. Plus, it is impossible to have natural looking makeup when you have that type of acne. I have them all over my forehead and it makes me so insecure so if you have any advice, a video on that would be so amazing!

After primer use the urban decay primer potion ( for eyeshadow) on those areas and gently press foundation and concealer and set with powder it really helps me and I hope it works for you!

Beauty tip: if you ever use those clear band eyelashes and find that since they aren't black you can see them on top of eyeliner, I always just run over them with a liquid eyeliner just on the band, let it dry, and then put the glue on. It has saved my life!

I am very oily and I am constantly mat typifying my make up, but I really would like a luminesce look with out an oily shine. Can you mention or do a tutorial on someone with oily skin one day. JACLYN. I have been in a dream like state for about a year now (sounds weird, I know) after a very traumatic experience. I also had it when I was younger because of an abusive situation I had been in. It comes and goes. The only thing I can compare the mindset to is a nightmare. I have good days, and bad. Lately they've mostly been bad, finding it hard to even get out of bed in the morning (depression + feeling disconnected is quite the combo). I've heard of depersonalization, I thought maybe I had that, but I didn't feel that I had all of the symptoms and it just didn't sound quite right. I've actually been convinced that I'm going a little crazy bc I thought I'm the only one that feels this way. I didn't know derealization was a thing until this video. I paused the video and have been researching it and I know it is what I have been struggling with and I'm now crying lolz I'm setting up an appt with a doctor in the morning and also researching cures. Maybe I can begin to healing process. Thank you x a million. xoxo
+Maggie Lou I'm so sorry to hear that. They say that Derealization happens from trauma, its the brains way of coping with things and disconnecting from reality so you don't have a mental break down. So it makes sense this would happen to you after a traumatic experience. It is curable and it will go away. You're not crazy.

I went through the same exact thing. I suffered with trauma and had derealization for a while I didn't leave my house for months. it was the scariest thing ever.. But I got through it and I am better now. But I thought I was going crazy and just to let you know you are not and it will get better trust me I never thought it could but it will and if you need any advice let me know!

Normally, I don't leave comments but I absolutely love these type of videos. I never really understood the get ready with me tag until I actually tried it when getting ready and I absolutely love it! You do such a fabulous job at them too; it makes me feel like I'm just getting ready with a friend. I love that even though you do lots of makeup videos (which isn't normally my cup of tea), you make them so personal and your personality is so great that I always come back and I specifically want to watch Jaclyn Hill videos!
I don't know if this is derealization but my life never seems real. Like sometimes I'll think about life too much and who I am and God and heaven and dying and then I start having a panic attack because I don't think I'm real.

I've always kept it to myself, I've always felt so ashamed and I've actually never even told anyone but my doctors. I don't know why but knowing someone else knows what this is like is comforting.
