Let's see the picture from when you were 18! I think it would be a great idea for a video if you showed us some pictures of your makeup journey. I think its hard sometimes looking at talented makeup artists and just thinking they were always good at it. I think it would be really interesting if you showed us when you weren't so good at makeup! lol

I don't understand why people say J.Hill is so full of herself because she doesn't use drugstore makeup she worked at MAC got good deals she makes good money now so why wouldn't she buy the best types of makeup. That's like saying well you don't wear clothes from wal mart so you're to good. Everyone has a preference. She's got tons of subscribers and make up companies see that so of course they are gonna send her stuff for free also. I don't know of one you tuber that I've seen that has tons of subscribers use "drugstore' makeup. But anyway on to this look. OH HOT DAMN!!! I love it. Plus it just really goes with the hair. The point of being a UA-cam is to connect with normal, everyday people. Just because you have tons of money now, you're still reaching out to the same audience, who has the same amount of money as before. Use ur effing head.

I don't know how to exactly phrase this but something I really love about your videos is the quality of your close up shots. We can see the texture of your skin and how the products truly rest on it, as opposed to some gurus who generally blur or soften the image so it looks less confronting, you know what I mean?
I don't have a problem with the blurring of skin texture on images, but there is something so refreshing about seeing make up close up on real skin. 💕 Love your work as always

Dylan Mercedes She doesn't drink, smoke or drink caffeine and drinks a lot of water and Tea. Those are all HUGE factors in our skin. I have noticed an improvement in her skin since she started using that skin care line.

I came back to watch this video and seeing all the negative comments honestly disgusts me. Jaclyn does not "shove her products down peoples throats" she does not think she is "too good for drugstore products" she worked at MAC so obviously she is going to have a good amount of MAC products, she also gets sent products, this is the makeup she owns so obviously she is going to use it. She used ber own highlighter here because SHE made it which means she is clearly going to like it. Theres no harm in being proud of what you have acheived. She isnt even showing it off here. Jaclyn is one of the most genuine UA-camrs I've ever seen and as a 15 year old girl she has empowered me to be confident and to find love in every single thing in life. Shes taught me to not be negative about myself or anyone else around me. She has also taught me that its okay to show emotions and to be sad sometimes. Along with all this she has shown me so many makeup skills, looks and techniques that have benefit in so many ways. I love Jaclyn so much and honestly her choice in products that she wants to put on her face will never change that opinion.

I just think it's more authentic, lets get real.....people's faces don't really look that perfect. We all have imperfections, scars, etc. & it would be great if you started a movement about how our flaws AR BEAUTIFUL!! At least one filter-less video! Just an opinion!

Jordan Crabill we are requesting a remake of Jaclyn's older video named "red brown smokey eye". That is my favorite video of hers, but it is an old video with a very different set up from what she has today so we are requesting a recreation of that specific video! It would be wonderful to see in high quality with her current set up!! And since I don't own any MAC shadows, I would LOVE to see it recreated with makeupgeek shadows! ❤❤❤
Im sorry, i thought i already elaborated. Frankly, the last video is not good quality. Its old, its dark, there's no lighting, not a great camera, and she's definitely gotten much better with her editing and her overall content in general. That video is an extremely old video of hers but the look is so admired. The quality of the video does it no justice.
There are hundreds of comments of other subscribers asking her to recreate that look in the comment section of that video. That's a pretty good reason.
It would be great either way if she recreated with Mac shadows again but I would like to see the look recreated with makeupgeek shadows because they're more affordable, a lot of her subbies purchased them off her recommendation, and its one of her best smokey eyes and its such shitty quality compared to what she has now.
It is not uncommon to do an updated video, or recreate an older video with newer products, better camera, studio lighting and overall for much better content as compared.
Jordan Crabill I am fully aware of that she has used Brown Script in other looks, but I was specfically requesting a remake of her "red brown smokey eye" which is my favourite look she has ever done. She created that just in the beginning of her UA-cam journey so to speak so the lighting and the camera quality was nowhere as amazing as it is now. I really think that gorgeous look deserves a new video. So many people are requesting it on the old video but Jaclyn doesn't see it.
I really like this technique because you could apply all different types of colors and it'll still give you that ombré effect.
First of all Mrs. Hill you are over there doing your thing. I loved this video. I struggle so much with eyeshadow and blending. I try to blend until fingers bleed or hands are sore and it still looks a hot mess. This look was absolutely by far one of my favorite looks. The colors went perfectly together and that winged liner was perfection. Do NOT let people bring you down or start any crap with you. Keep making wonderful videos and giving people like me that struggle with makeup, hope that one day we too can rise to the JH standard.

Aysha Abdul I think that half baked is a touch more bronze-y than the shadow she used, which was more of a true yellow gold, but I personally think the HB would look just as good:)

Calvin Martin really pretty Loreal infallible shadows in similar colors (Eternal Sunshine and Amber Rush) and I'm sure you can find a similar matte purple! NYC bronzer is a good matte one and the eyeliner she used was drugstore! I really like a lot of drugstore mascaras and Milani blushes are good, too! Loreal infallible foundation is similar to the one she used! Hope I helped!
Drugstore eyeshadows are very touch and go but the Loreal Infallibals are phenomenal

When you're editing Id love to see a real time step of your blending. You always say blend blend blend but, I can never really tell how long. lol
Blend until your eyes and your hands hurt!! Haha that's what Jaclyn always says. But you can just blend until you think you like how your makeup looks. Sometimes that takes thirty seconds, sometimes it'll take a minute or two. To each their own! :)

lay color down, blend, build, blend, build, blend... blending is just tedious. the more you blend the smoother it is!
acacm12 I don't think there's anything to blending apart from practice :)
She kinda talked about it before. She layers a lot of different shades over each other and blends each one out on top of each other. It's hard to explain but it really works wonders.

Jaclyn is a copy cat! Even just this month! She got a white swan pool floatie for her last video and named it Pepe... Also got the same donut floatie Nicole has. Nicole has a white swan named Pepe she got last year. It's creepy tbh.
