I see we've all been fascinated by their music long before it was a trend. It's been so long I forgot how I first came across their songs, but I don't regret it. My favorites are always Feed the Machine and Give and Take because they sounded like two sides of the same story, or at least very closely linked.
Haha yeah, I’ve been listening since I was a kid, and my dad would have music absolutely blasting as we ripped through the back trails on the atv. I used to think that give and take and feed the machine were the same song until I asked dad why some of the words were funny. I absolutely love this band and it’s a core building block in my life!
I couldn’t agree more! The songs are truly underrated. In my opinion, the band’s songs are the best steampunk songs, that are from a common folk perspective. Thank you for making this awesome playlist.

Feed the Machine randomly popped up in my Google Play recommended one day, and I'm so glad it did this style of music is so unique and so cool, I love it I've never watched Hadestown, but I am familiar with the tone and style of the production, and this music really brings a lot of that imagery into my head
Y'all are underated, yet greatly appreciated by this deuche. I can tell that y'all get it, and y'all got it. From one musician to another, please keep doing this.
For all the folks getting this in their recommended recently, AethericTwine here makes these playlists for quite a few bands that don't get the recognition they deserve. Give them a look
This band has to be the best country band in the history of music if they were missing even just one of the members these songs wouldn’t be possible and I have forever grateful for the absolute tunes
Quick question: I'm a little young for all kinds of music, and I'm still learning my genres. Based on what I learned, this doesn't really feel like country? It's more refined and high-quality than all of the other things I've been told is country. This feels more... old? Wild west like? It doesn't have the lyrics of some redneck who's addicted to their truck, but a lot more of a story that's purposefully constructed. I heard some people call it more folk and western, is that a subdivision of country or something similar under a major umbrella they share?
Found this band in my iTunes recommendeds a few months over year ago after listening to the Dead South, haven’t stopped listening since! I absolutely love their sound, definitely one of my top favorite bands!
Thank you Recommended! I decided to check this video out, and within 4 songs I was already going to their main webpage looking up purchasing options. Bought their whole discography within 30 mins of finding this video. Love this band!
They should not be this underground, they're so talented and maje some of the best music I've heard as of recently. I would kill to get these men the recognition they deserve
every single song feels like a war rally, to spark a revolution of creativity. Ngl it feels like im playing a game with a steampunk aesthetic all about destroying and rebuilding but better every time i listen to this band who doesnt know how to not go extremely fucking hard with every album they drop.
Love this, I’ve been listening to this list for a while, and and now, months later, I’m using this as motivation to finish 7 math papers. I needed this. Thank you
I heard PMP and i was like, i heard this man in somewhere. AND I WAS SEARCHIN LIKE WHICH SONG I HEARD OF HIM AND I FOUND IT THANKS TO YOU! i once heard Pressure Cracks in an animatic LOL
Heh, my intro song was Black Sheep. I noticed it sitting underneath another song named Black Sheep, and had to see why my eyes were drawn. I regret nothing, and I've found a second band to sit on my favorites list.
Woah, I stumbled across this video while listening to something else and said “hey, this looks cool, I’ll give it a shot” and just oh BOY I realized what I was missing out on

this band is so uniquely...theatric? every song feels like it tells such a clear story and they all feel like they hang under the same lore, its so interesting. very glad i stumbled across them
Agreed with both points here
yeah you can tell by the album covers that "Give and Take" probable comes after "Feed the Machine" in some internal lore
Yeah I think providence and hells coming either me or connected
You’d probably really like king crimson. The bands got the same vibe except abit more elusive with its meaning.

I love the lead singer's voice. Just something about the perfect amount of raspiness and smooth notes is beautiful
I can agree
Perfect villian voice for perfect villian music 👌
Feels like I'm receiving a serenade from a cowboy with many tales to tell, love it!
They have no lead singer. The person that writes the song sings the song. The same person wrote all of these songs.

This is by far one of the most true titles ive seen. They are horribly underrated and i hope one day they get the recognition that they truly deserve.

Feed the Machine:
Here's to the greater good, for all
Do what you know you should, for all
We all may die
Something's going on, just look around
Fear is on the rise
And there's blood all over the ground
Let's all just blindfold the poor
We must remind them what's in store
We got 'em now
Just break them down a little bit more
(Ah)
I said, "Hey (hey), you (you), feed the machine
Bring them all back down to their knees
There's no time to waste
Remind the slaves
They ain't gonna make it out alive today"
I said, "Hey (hey), you (you), poison the well
Watch it all burn, take them straight to hell
He's got the whole (whole) world (world) in his hands
It was nice to know ya
We've all been damned, c'mon"
Nothing's going on, no need to fear
And we're all in this together
And just to make it all clear
We want the same thing as you
This will all be over soon
Now here's a little pill
Here's the truth
We're gonna, we're gonna, we're gonna
We're gonna, we're gonna, we're gonna
We're all gonna die
"Hey, you, feed the machine
Bring them all back down to their knees
There's no time to waste

Hell's Comin' With Me:
They all laughed as he turned around slow
They said you ain't welcome 'round here anymore
You just might as well go
He wiped the blood from his face as he slowly came to his knees
He said, I'll be back when you least expect it
And hell's coming with me
Hell's coming with me
There is a hill at the bottom of the valley
Where all the poor souls go when they die
And if you listen real close
You can hear em' like a ghost
Saying you're never gonna make it out alive
There is a town at the bottom of that hill
They got a secret that they keep like a slave
They got a black magic preacher (ooh)
We'd do well to let him teach her
You'll be heading up that hill to the grave
And it is well, with my soul
You line your pockets full of money that you steal from the poor
And on your way down to hell, you hear me ring that bell
I'd pay the devil twice as much to keep your soul
There was a drifter passing through that little valley
See he had promised he was coming back to town (coming back to town)
They didn't know him by his face, or by the gun around his waist (ooh)
But he come back to burn that town to the ground
First there was fire, then there was smoke
Then that preacher man was hangin' by a rope
Then they all fell to their knees and begged that drifter
Begged him please, as he raised his fist before he spoke
I am the righteous hand of God
And I am the devil that you forgot
And I told you one day you will see
That I'll be back I guarantee
And that hell's coming, hell's coming
Hell, hell's coming with me
And it is well, with my soul
You line your pockets full of money that you steal from the poor
And on your way down to hell, you hear me ring that bell
And I said, hell's coming with me (hell's coming with me)
Providence:
Count the lights on empty souls
Quietly behind the doors
Oh, bleeding us just for fun
Men of power telling lies
Shifty hands and thirsty eyes
And they can smell your fear like blood
Oh my weary soul
We've met your kind before
Set fire to us all
And oh sweet providence
Come save us from ourselves
From Hell and consequence
Feed the rich and kill the poor
Turn out the lights and just ignore
What's going on outside
Beating hearts of the depraved
We've turned their people into slaves
And we've given up before we've even tried
And oh my weary soul
We've met your kind before
Set fire to us all
And oh sweet providence
Come save us from ourselves
From Hell and consequence
And oh my weary soul
We've met your kind before
Set fire to us all
And oh sweet providence
Come save us from ourselves
From Hell and consequence
And oh my weary soul (Oh my weary soul)
Oh my weary soul (Oh my weary soul)
And oh sweet providence
Come save us from ourselves
From Hell and consequence

They won't tell you that I tried

And it's been a test to make it here
My hope's faded through the years
But I've been holding on to the prayer and I hope that some day soon
God sees my efforts and my pain
Shows me my efforts aren't in vain
And I've played the part, and I've played the fool, and I've been used
And I let them get the best of me, but it was all for you
For what it's worth, I never meant you any pain
Just so you know, I love you both just the same
We've seen the best and we've seen the worst
Yeah we been blessed and we've been cursed
But it's all been worth it, just to watch you grow boys
And I'll be a daddy till I die
When I die I'll keep the angels by your side
And I've played the part, and I've played the fool, and I've been used
And I let them get the best of me, but it was all for you
For what it's worth, I never meant you any pain
Just so you know, I love you both just the same
Well I've played the part, and I've played the fool, and I've been used

I've never watched Hadestown, but I am familiar with the tone and style of the production, and this music really brings a lot of that imagery into my head
Now you say it, yeah, it's pretty similar, in musical style and storytelling!
I really feel glad that someone created this playlist. This band it's trully underrated and i love every single song of them.
You thought it was a poormanspoison fan but it was me dio
Found this band from Hell's Coming With Me and there are no regrets!
It’s such a small detail but I like the little arrow on the tracklist pointing at the song that’s currently playing
Never heard of this band, listened to this for 40 seconds, already love this
Same tbh
forgot this existed, found it again because of your reply. Thank you
This band is amazing! Should’ve found out about them by hearing about them everywhere not just by an accident! They deserve better..
Idk why but these songs hit different when you're wearing headphones/earbuds
Yeah
Dang, this is some catchy stuff. Been listening to this on repeat for a few hours and it never gets old :D
I introduced my mom to poor man’s poison last month and she loved them enough to add them to her playlists
I'm using all their songs for a theater project, using 6 songs to make a musical and I just love it so much
Y'all are underated, yet greatly appreciated by this deuche.
@tundra3252 this is more considered folk rock/metal
@@GrippingRaccoon7109 thank you for the clarification!
No problem :D
For those looking for more songs. I would highly recommend both c'mon down and devil's price if you have not heard them.
This band just deserves so much more attention
It’s Folk AJR where they combine unique music not common in the music world with a clear story
Im sad that lets go isnt on here
i was top 0.0005% listeners last year of them on spotify. truly glad to be alive to hear some of these BANGERS

Came here because of Glenn Becks show yesterday. Haven’t stopped listening to them!
Anyone else captivated by the beginnign of Feed the Machine? This dude knows what he was doing!
They should not be this underground, they're so talented and maje some of the best music I've heard as of recently. I would kill to get these men the recognition they deserve
they are getting recognition unfortunately the cause is minecraft propaganda
Extremely underrated. Thank you! I just recently showed them to my husband and he is just as stoked on them as I am.
Smh, dude forgot to add "Devil's Price"
every single song feels like a war rally, to spark a revolution of creativity.
Thank you
I've only herd hells coming with me then I was hooked
Introduced to this by my 13year old daughter It's brilliant. An absolute pleasure.

I've been looking for this kind of music for a long time. I can't get enough.
Heh, my intro song was Black Sheep. I noticed it sitting underneath another song named Black Sheep, and had to see why my eyes were drawn. I regret nothing, and I've found a second band to sit on my favorites list.
21:14 If you listen carefully it feels like markiplier's singing in the background, wild
they are so damn underrated poormanspoison for life
They were THE band that got me interested in music.
First time hearing them....15:30 - the 5th time I've said out loud to myself "holy shit this band is good".
Listening to this beat while youre scrubbing the deck of a Sailing ship in the North Sea hits different
Oddly specific but okay

Music and singing is well balanced. They don't use autotune. Its the opposite of most modern music.

Poor Mans Poison is the Embodiment of Folk music
This is indeed underrated. My first time listening and I love it.
I just heard these guys for the first time yesterday and I don't know why they aren't more famous. They're great
Woah, I stumbled across this video while listening to something else and said “hey, this looks cool, I’ll give it a shot” and just oh BOY I realized what I was missing out on

Good question and quite frankly I don't have a clue
@@I-am-moderately-stupid do any of us
Why does Feed the Machine sound like "Industrial Revolution" XD
Yeah they're so underrated like their give and take song goes hard and how they seem to be trying to tell a story with every song

This group is gives a feeling of wild west in someway, and i freaking love it
