- “Extra’s” Rachel Lindsay caught up with Steven Yeun, Alan S. Kim and director Lee Isaac Chung to talk about their movie “Minari.”
The movie is about a Korean family that starts a farm in Arkansas in the 1980s.
Chung opened up about how the story was inspired by his own family, while Yeun discussed the “emotional journey” he went on to dive into his character, and how it reminded him of seeing his parents through a new lens. Alan shared his favorite thing about making the movie.
The movie is up for six Oscars, including directing and writing nods for Chung and a Best Actor nomination for Yeun.
i love steven ♡♡
Steven Yeun is always eloquent, and intelligent and articulate.
Wow! What a wonderful, inspirational interview. Love Rachel’s questions and love the insight that these three provided with their answers
Excellent job, Rachel! Can’t wait to see this movie, I’m a huge fan of Steven!
Love this interview. Now I want to see this film!💕
God damn Steven we need you so badly these days . .. best of luck with the Oscars... Also I hope you make a cameo in the walking dead we need yah
Rachel, you did an excellent job conducting this interview!
Yes my dear Rachel continue to soar!!
this film is one of the best really. The casting was superb, especially Steven and YJ. Allan Kim showed depth no young actor in recent years have shown, and Han Yeri, who i clearly believed was the heart of this film, should have gotten a nod too (that last scene with Steven at the side alley of a store was deeply moving, and only an Actress with her caliber can deliver). I'm thinking, is the water in South Korea reallly that diffrent? How are this country producing these great acts? Like seriously? BTS? Bong Joon Ho? Now the cast of Minari? (arghhh).
Where can I watch this movie now📺
Haven't seen this movie, but, looking forward to it, I love movies that culturally mean something.....love the interview Rachel, asking the right questions....and I too remember the switch....yikes....
