I was lucky to have worked on the project from the start and worked with Andy and Richard Noble. Ian warhurst took the car to the Hakskeen pan and reached 628mph on the first test season which in itself is impressive and proves the cars potential upper performance. Unfortunately the project is now up for sale 8million I believe due to the current global situation. If I won a big lottery payout I’d buy it tomorrow and let Ian finish the job.
I just saw the run yo 628. Incredible to day the least I salute you and the team. Unfortunate to hear of the news of the selling of that project. Hopes for the future.

Fun fact: the Bloodhound team is actually going for an FIA record, this means the "car" has to maintain 1000+mph over what's called a "flying mile" in one direction, and then do it again in the opposite direction within 1hr the work needed to achieve this once is tremendous, but to do it twice in an hour is astonishing and should not be taken lightly

At 3:40 the narrator states the SSC engines are out of an American F4, this is partially correct, the engines were out of a UK spec F4 (Rolls Royce Spey engines) not the US j79 engine..
And the Phantom was a McDonnell design, not Douglas.
