Thanks electrician, worked like a charm after being stuck in 1st. Actually found some not so good wire hacking from previous along the way unrelated. Beer 🍺 for you.
Bro you are the best I did what you told me my full Willer in reverse and I and I did what you showed on your video Work thank you so much thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you brother
Worked on my 2001 Honda 350 rancher thanks so much for this. I have intermittent transmission problems so I wonder if it would cause any issues if I hooked it up permanently to start in gear
Happened to my wife's 2023 Recon. Could not get in neutral to start, used the advice about pulling the right hand brake and was able to use the electric shifter to get to neutral. Only about 3 miles from new.
Works on the 2023 Recon holding the right hand brake and using the shift button to get to neutral. I believe this is a safety feature so you do not start in gear and take off if you Rev it to start. I never read this in the manual anywhere, it may say it but I can't find it.
@@electricguydan519 green neutral light on, but stuck in a gear. Has manual foot gear lever, but doesn’t change anything when go all the way down. Weird
I have a 1986 Honda 200ex that is in neutral but the light indicator says it’s in reverse so it won’t let the quad start, will this hack work with my problem?
What happens once you pull the gator clip off once started? Will it jump back to first(or whatever gears its stuck in) gear automatically, or will it stay in neutral? Not understanding how that shifted it into neutral.
It didn’t shift to neutral. It tricked the electric to think it’s in neutral so it will start in whatever gear it’s stuck in. Hopefully 1st or 2nd gear. Keep the brakes on when starting. It will want to drive.
You saved me half a weeks wages to fix have this fix, thanks man

Wouldn’t hurt to leave it that way.
What u use so u could cut the coating on the wire and not cut the wire?
A razor knife.
Hold the front brake and turn the key on then push the button if it’s a foot shift
That what I do! Hold the front brake
My cuad idles fine and responds good when I shift full throttle butturns off as soon as I shift IT into first gear or reverse, someone please HELP
This man's a genius
Maybe that will help with my Bayou 300, no start neutral safety switch??
Honda has a built in bypass. With the bike in gear hold the right hand brake, turn on the ignition then start. It will be in gear ready to go.
Holy fuck man thank you,you saved my ass

if u in gear for a honda you can pull in the front brake and it will start in gear
There is a foot crank arm that attaches to the left side - manual shift forward for UP and backward for Down
yes there is but if that wont shift up or down, this is what a person can do to fix it!!
Thanks, it worked for me
That’s awesome!
you could just start it by pulling the brake in and starting it in gear
Very cool.
my problem is that the neutral light is on, but the gears are not in neutral. Where is the neutral switch on these atvs
Lower left side of engine I believe or right in the back of the engine. Trace the big wire harness to it.

Tried it but it didn't work. Mines is a 2008 420 manual trans n its stuck in gear.

You could have just put a screwdriver across the main wires and would have saved you trimming the insulation from them wires
Thanks Dan. Or should I say Frank Gallagher 💀 but he’s not this smart.
Good to know Thanks👍
Looks like a lot of work. Sometimes rocking works or use the key and switch it manually without taking everything apart.
lol, your not to bright are you?when nothing works and its stuck in gear, this will get you to run again!!
If you hold the front brake on, it should start in gear . That is how I do it with my rubicon.
does not work with rancher, rubicon not the same!!
Or You Can Shake sur FourWheeler And Push Down Shift :D
Very helpful. Thanks
