Glaive Lord is actually fantastic...if you recognize its strengths and weaknesses. 1. Its very strong for its price on most maps. You can get it around R60 on CHIMPS and won't need to buy anything else for 20-30 rounds giving you loads of time to save up. 2. It remains incredibly good against ceramics after it starts to fall off against blimps (but even in the late 90s can still get over 200k pops per round). 3. Its generally better towards the front of the map so that the glaives bounce through everything along the track until reaching the bloons that might leak and clearing them.
Also... 4. While it may seem like the full circle spots such as the one Mackan uses here seem logical, the better spot would have been where the glue was since it has more total pass-by instances. In fact, GL in that spot clears round 98 on this map entirely on its own.
Yeah I beat high finance CHIMPS black border easily with sauda, 1-3-0 druid, Glaive Lord and Dark Champion the other day, and now it has been buffed again
NK has a very hard time with this tower, there's a fine line between being absolutely broken on easy maps and being dog water on any tougher maps, and buffing or nerfing it can enhance one of the two exponentially
I think you are underestimating the power of the new Glaive Lord still. It doesn't matter what the map is - with the infinite bounce distance, and mutli bounce combined with extremely cheap 30k price point glaive lord guarantees 100% security on any boss event not to mention races. It is less useful in chimps on expert maps - but that is mostly because chimps doesn't have quantity of bloons on screen to require cleanup
I was suprised when I saw this buff, Glaive Lord was already the best cleaning up tower so I wasn't expecting it to get a buff, especially one that affects low target damage more than crouds of bloons. Glaive Lord is awesome
not sure what you're talking about, it's EXTREMELY good on expert chimps, literally one of the best dps options with the bounces across the map and the cheap price.
Or how about making the glaive lord fly while giving it the dark knight's ability to teleport anywhere on the map? I'm sure increasing the price would fix balancing issues.
The Glaive Lord, Crossbow Master, and Elite Defender are my holy trinity of mid game towers that I take in just about every game mode. All 3 just have great designs and can put you on their backs for mid game and can still be of help come late game. They may not be the be the best towers, but dammit they’re just so fun to use.

I actually use the glaive lord consistently, like pairing it with Sauda at times. Also that axe in the wood, I accidentally tapped on that and proceed to rapid tap, hoping it did something. I was disappointed
Hey, leaving a comment to give you a challenge idea. Get as far as possible on 'One Two Tree' using only the secret range boost spots in the top corners. I did a chimps run with it, but did the ISAB thing and allowed support towers outside of this area

But it can easily let stuff slide through if his attacks are blocked by previous Bloons, stopping them from reaching Bloons towards the end, especially big groups like a ton of moabs or grouped super cerams. Placing a boomer at the end of the track, (especially on a curve, of course, if a track has one) is incredible cleanup. I don't think one is better than the other- they all have specific uses. But the people saying he's bad are just plain wrong in my opinion.
i think if they want it to have better single-target on rounds like 80, 100, 119, etc, they could give it a bonus to the first Bloon hit by the glaive, similar to Ray of Doom. Tho, i guess it kinda already has that with the DPS. I have to admit, personally I'm not happy with the idea that a tower can be so niche it's not designed to be used on Expert maps at all, I think any tower should have some potential regardless of the map. Maybe if they exchanged some of the rotating glaive damage for damage on the main glaives? I dunno, the power's in a really odd position and I wouldn't know what to do with it myself.
Really hope this doesn’t come off as a diss or anything but rather an interesting observation between the knowledge on different things from players of different play styles. You make videos showing some of the most insane late games using many lesser known mechanics, but didn’t know about the glavelord bleed effect on moabs. While others might know so many details about every tower but not know anything about late game techniques.
I think the main issue with this tower is that you need a curve or bend. And if you have that there are better options like tack. Also, the Moab popping power of moar glaives is too weak to carry into a glaive lord

I believe the biggest problem with Glaive Lord to be the terrible reward for letting a glaive hit a blimp over it bouncing around the bloons (in case you haven't noticed, the projectile disappears after hitting a MOAB-class bloon, getting rid of the grouped damage it could be dealing without that). Hypothetically, if those glaives applied the same bleed-effect on every blimp while still bouncing around the bloons, it would be among the greatest towers, not for single-damage, but for its grouped damage. I have no idea how i would actually fix that issue though. Do we remove the bleed-effect of the projectile on blimps to focus purely on the cleanup, letting the spinning glaives deal the damage? Do we increase the bleed-damage applied to each blimp to give good reason to use it against MOAB-class bloons? How much should the spinning glaives do in comparison to the projectile? I have no idea. All i know is, that it is too imbalanced and

I think it’s a good tower, just not the best chinos tower. Its high pierce and damage output make it very good for its price on all the ranked game modes.
I've just finished your late game series and tried my first run and I already got to round 306 and i'm still not even close to lose. Even though I've sold my Vengefull Sun God, built it up again and then Sacreficed it into an other temple. And built it up again. Now I have some real Money problems but thats fine. the problem with glaive lord is that it is too good on most single lane maps, maps that loop over especially. so buffing him too much may make those maps a bit too easy.

Didn't work on a lot of the harder maps until the rehit buff. Before it was pretty good on single lanes, now it's pretty good on every map that isn't like geared lol

I actually used Glaive Lord as cleanup for the Bloonarius event, on both normal and elite.
I do as well, it is pretty reliable.
I use it for most bosses
It actually cleans up MOAB swarms quite well, but it struggles against anything larger, luckily MOABs are a common leftover
Same it’s just so good for clumped bloon swarms (especially with the primary mentoring)
i use spirit of the forest as it does the same role but works on every map and can can deal with larger balloons solo
