My take on "broke" in this sense is that now that he has money after the previous song, it still didn't solve the problems in his life. He's not broke in money, but in happiness. Just my thoughts on it really.

Same Henshaw delivers again! The music he makes is always top notch. My only complaint is my ears can't make out the words as good on other songs. My ears are picking up the volume of the music more than the vocals. But still it's a bop.
