Fuel Pump Troubleshooting - Shelby GLHS with the Chrysler 2.2 Turbo Engine

- The brand new fuel pump randomly fails in my Dodge Shelby GLHS Charger. Today I'm troubleshooting it using the TopDiag P100 Pro Tester. This is the same procedure for most all cars with the Chrysler 2.2 Turbo Engine.

The 1987 Charger GLHS...awesome car!
Thanks, I have a few vidoes covering it. Check them out!
So glad to see the Shelby back on the channel!! I can’t believe the bad luck you’ve been having with brand new parts!….oh, and I can vouch for the quality and coolness of the save the dipsticks shirt!
I REALLY need to get that thing back on the road. So many projects, so little time.
@@ProjectTimeGarage I'd love to see it! If you beat me to it, I will live vicariously through you. I can't WAIT to pull my Daytona out of the garage for the first time.

Thanks!
Thanks for the video! I'm having a similar problem on my 1984 LeBaron 2.2 fuel injected turbo. I recall being told that if you jump 12v from the battery to the fuel pump, the pump will turn on. Question I have is whether I can try starting the car with that jumper in place (like you did with the jumper to the diag port wire to ground)--or if that's a bad idea? Thanks again.
You are correct. Also, it's fine to start the car like that for testing purposes. Definately wouldn't drive it like that.
@@ProjectTimeGarageGood news!! New fuel pump and the LeBaron is back to running! Although I never could get a good voltage reading at the pump. It was showing less than a volt. Does it just send power for a few seconds when the key is turned on then wait until the car starts to turn the pump on?
Thanks again for the helpful video.
Is this a repair channel? Or a product channel
Well, it's more of a channel geared towards people who like to work on stuff. If I see a cool tool, I'll review it and make a vieow on it. If I see a cool project, I'll buy it and make videos about it.
