Nice vid, but it seems Venice proper isn't overall that large where these hotels are located so I wonder why some are a 30-minute drive and some are an hour or more drive from the airport as you say, and the drive must take you to the nearest boat to the hotel?
Hey Douglas, first of all we are delighted that you liked the video! Yes, Venice is small, but its unique layout on islands means travel times can vary. The airport is on the mainland, so you need land and water transport to get to hotels. Some hotels are closer to main boat stations, while others on remote islands or further locations require longer travel times, often involving transfers. So, the 30-minute to over an hour travel time depends on the hotel’s location and transport routes, which we displayed for each hotel in the video.
@@jayinfluencer Okay thanks for the clarification. I was there once but via a cruise ship, Crystal Cruises, so it was just a short boat ride for me to land ho! And hotels being your topic I bartended at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles at Beverly Hills (the border being across the street, Doheny Drive) for 12 years from the opening in 1987 to 1999. Cheers!! 🍺😄
@@douglasvancier7683 Wow Crystal Cruises, amazing, I know you had a lot of fun! The Four Seasons Hotel in LA is elite. I bet you have amazing stories to tell!
Hello @rossellarosin. I don't know why we did not receive a notification of your comment, therefore I apologize for the late response! You are right, Venice is a car-free city, so while the airport is on the mainland, you can't drive directly to hotels within the city. After arriving at Marco Polo Airport, you’ll typically need to take a land transfer to a (water) taxi or waterbus, which then takes you to your hotel. The journey can vary in time depending on where your hotel is located! We apologize if it was not clear enough from the term taxi that water taxis were meant.
@@jayinfluencer I've lived in Venice in the past, so I know. It certainly doesn't help to clear the misunderstanding the fact that in the video when you speak of taxis, you show people in a car taxi, not in a boat taxi. It's not a problem for me personally, I just find it hylarious. Someone else might find it confusing. And it could not be a good advice either because water taxis in Venice are really expensive. Not sure about the timing you give either.
@@rossellarosin Again, thank you for your honest critique. We will make a better job editing the videos in the future. Well we strive to showcase the best available options not only in Venice but worldwide so understandably it might not be cheap. However as explained in the description we are more than open to hear alternative suggestions which might be more budget-friendly.

The Hemingway suite at The Gritti Palace. In all earnest that's my choice.

it's funny that you talk like hotels were reachable by car from the airport lol.
Yes that is very misleading information as there are no cars on Venice Island.
