every live action movie did him a disservice. at least his COSTUME in this one looked good.
Seriously, master of science and magic and supreme ruler of Latveria reduced to this?

At last, the journey of the Adequately Impressive Three has begun! Can't wait for the rest, with the next chronicle step in their adventure being in Fant4stic.
Just to let you know, the video from 3 weeks ago is simply a compilation of all three of the reviews he does after reviewing movie franchises.
“How do a cosmic storm affect dna”
Surprisingly, radiation can have a massive effect on cellular dna
Also I think because of the nature of superhero’s now we don’t really remember that the fantastic four aren’t really crime fighters. They’re closer to super scientists/explorers. They’re the first family of marvel and the people who facilitated the first mcu… the marvel comics universe.
Shh, don't tell him, he's too ducky to understand.
Oh I guess it is radiation, most space stuff is just dust
@@theduckgoesmoo it’s good, I just thought it’d be kinda basic knowledge that it was radioactive considering that radiation was marvels favorite reason for superpowers for most of its early years
After all 3 Fantastic 4 reviews, please react to Nostalgia Critic's Disney Afternoon, Fox Kids and Toonami retrospectives.
I second the request
The what
They're reviews of nostalgic cartoon blocks with a similar structure as his commercial specials. Highly recommended.
@@theduckgoesmoo What Honest said. All three are really, REALLY good. A lot of great cartoons and anime discussed.
_Hong Kong '97_ is a bizarre bootleg videogame, arguably the most famous of its kind.
I'll avoid trying to explain it, and just point to the AVGN episode about it (Ep.134).
Happy to see you watch the Adventures of the Adequately Impressive Three!
Also, the next F4 review after this is Fant4stic, & after that is Rise of the Silver Surfer.
3:34 - I'm glad I'm not the only person out there that can't help but think of SMG4 literally any time Mario is used in a joke, or upon seeing his character model from Super Mario 64.
Edit: The Fantastic Four don't actually do a lot of crime fighting in the comics, so the movies are actually being pretty accurate in the that sense. Usually what they do is explore the multiverse and extradimensional planes of existence and end up coming into conflicts with cosmic level threats there. Outside of that, they spend their time as a family just enjoying life, except for when they're giving their assistance to save people during disasters, or battling world ending threats that have come to Earth. The small handful of villains that are consistently theirs usually seek them out due to personal grudges, people like Doctor Doom.
Smg4 has invaded my mind
- Well now you've watched the 1st on might as well do the whole trinity. Each movie being worse than the last. 2nd one is Rise ofthe Silver Surfer.
- The Adam Sandler movie they were talking about was Pixels. Another review he's done you should check out
- 18:25 Reference to Batman and Robin where Arnold Schwarzenegger played Mr Freeze and said nothing but ice puns
Chris Even said that he’d like to come back to the MCU as the Human Torch. They’d most likely do a running joke where he says: “You know, people say I look a lot like Cap”. Then the person responds saying: “Really? I don’t see it“
I heard MCU’s Fantastic Four will not have an origin story. Mainly because it’s been seen so many times. Like they did with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. Also, rumors have been saying that the Thing might appear in the new She-Hulk series
Can't wait to see you get to the Fan-four-stic review! Godspeed, Duck!
I have a feeling that if certain Marvel movies weren’t owned by different companies you’d be more familiar. A shame the Fantastic Four aren’t as popular anymore. Also a little Fun Fact, similar to how Hulk and Scarlet Witch debuted in X-Men, Black Panther debuted in the Fantastic Four.
So did the Inhumans Royal Family. Still waiting for them to be done in live action.
*But that sho-*
NOPE DIDN'T HAPPEN
Alredy commented, but I feel like Michael Chiklis ( the actor of Ben Grimm/The Thing) doesn't get enough credit in these movies
He is apparently a huge marvel fan and advocated for a prosthetic look for Ben Grimm rather then CGI. And even tho the costume was reportedly hell for him to wear, he stuck through it cause , credit where its due, it looks really good to this day
I love Doctor Doom, and None of These Movies do him justice and the the Doom that proceeds this one is even worse than the one from these movies
The saddest part is that the Fantastic 4 are both some of Marvel's most iconic teams and are among the few characters who were created solely by Stan Lee
And yet, despite having a pretty important legacy , they just can't seem to get a GOOD live-action adaptation
The Rise of The Silver Surfer in particular left a bad taste in fan's mouths dragging Galactus, Silver Surfer and Doom(again) down with them
13:21 "He's very upset." Oh trust me, you haven't seen Nostalgia Critic upset until you've seen his review of Michael Bay's Pearl Harbor. That movie REALLY got under his skin---understandably so when you consider his dad was a military man. Seriously, react to that review!
4:35 That is CHUN-LI(pronounced Chun(like Shun) Li(Lee)(the woman) and Zangieff(the big guy) both from Street Fighter series
The thing about the Fantastic 4 is that they aren't really as much superheroes as they are scientists and explorers.
If you're gonna watch all three reviews, the next one he did was the 2015 reboot, and then Rise of the Silver Surfer, which is the sequel to this film.
As if the name Doom wasn't already a dead giveaway that the guy was the villain, they picked Julian McMahon to play him. His last two roles before this movie were as a demon (Charmed) and as a plastic surgeon (Nip/Tuck). The only question asked once anyone saw him here was "how evil is he going to be in this role?"
Ayyy I know charmed!
Since you recently watched the Emirichu Avatar video, you may also like the Vlogs that Critic did for his first watch through of the series.
Michael b Jordan is in space jaw and creed 1and 2 which follows rocky films and rocky balboa is in this movie.
Fantastic 4 is a marvel comics movie based on the comics and even a animated series and movies and is the first family of marvel comics.
10:24 Oxygen isn't Flammable... it 's required for fire. It makes everything else flammable, even diamonds.
Cause UA-cam lets UA-camrs burn diamonds for views... gotta love Cody.
If you ever wanna try another funny review show similar to the critic I want to recommend atop the fourth wall
Please react to all NC-Episodes about the Fantastic four
ALL ShAL KNOW DOOOOM!!!
I still have a soft spot for these movies. This is still part of the era where critic needs to talk as much shit as possible about movies because that's his shtick. Still an alright review but as I said the first two (this one and RoTSS) were just the right amount of camp and stupid for me. Even my roommate who's a big time comic book guy finds these movies fun, flawed but fun.
Yeah Alba has been in a couple of films where her clothes... turn invisible in a sense.
Yes, she does have her clothes turned invisible and I remember seeing her in the underwear with a penguin 🐧 in the front and the underwear from this movie . Not to mention that while she is hot and has a great figure the scene is not need twice . Once is OK in every movie but, not twice nor ever other scene. Unless it is a victoria secret ads.
If there is a god, he hates The Fantastic Four. The only movies of hers (Jessica Alba) that are arousing and worth pitching tents to are Good Luck Chuck, Sin City, and Into The Blue. As far as I’m concerned since 2007 there’s never been a valid reason or excuse to j/o to her. I seriously doubt that the MCU will give us a good F4 movie because the last four failed and we don’t need another Xmen movie because the best is Logan although I’m also fond of X2, First Class, and Days Of Future Past.
I recomend to watch; "Why Is It Impossible To Make A Good Fantastic Four Movie?" by Nerdstalgic
It explains why despite Fantastic Four being an Comicbook icons, they have bad movies.
Because you mentioned Fury Road near the end, which previous movie were your parents watching? Fury Road is actually the fourth Mad Max movie, and if they were watching the ORIGINAL one, that one is WAY different from the other three. Like, you get whiplash going from the first to any of the others.
He gave a dude a saw to cut his leg off before the car exploded
@@theduckgoesmoo Yeah, pretty sure that was the original one.
Tbf, every Mad Max movie is really distinct from the others. Mad Max is nothing like Road Warrior which is nothing like Thunderdome which is nothing like Fury Road. I mean, you could say Fury Road and Road Warrior are closest, but even then they're not exactly the same kind of film.
To be fair, Reed is just as stupid about her in the comics. So that’s surprisingly accurate
And this is why the fantastic 4 arent cut out for films
Finally
an Episode I actually Like again
Fun Fact: Doctor Doom is one of the only characters to win 2 death battles (not a lot of people can hold that title)
I'd love to see you do his weirdest Jack and The Beanstalk video. ua-cam.com/video/pbS-pUOb15Q/v-deo.html
12:44 I count Goku, Hulk, Matilda and Tetsuo
Whos the last guy tho
The 4th one’s Carrie.
I remember seeing this on TV from time to time yeah this is the definition of a nothing Burger
Nobody:
Duck: (References Death Battle for the One millionth time)
you should watch the critics review of batman and robin.
2:32 your kidding right?
you can summon ANY video game character
do you know how overpowerd some of them are?
his abillity is basicly just summoning fictional characters
that is the most overpowerd abillity ever
Hm, personally, I didn’t mind that movie much, but I can understand where he is coming from.
Man this ones are really good but if you wanna have the time of your life, check out the Stephen king reviews
So Nostalgia Critic becomes Yoshikage Kira. If you know you know.
Happy to see your reaction to this video can your next video be about artistic evolution of one punch man please make a video about it
You should react to the awful archeology series by miniminuteman
And if you really wanna know. Check out AVGN's Hongkong 97
Probably the worst part of these movies are just the fact that Sony owns them and not Marvel. Mainly cause of stuff like Xmen not being part of the MCU. I'm not that much of a comic book fan or even an Xmen/Fantastic 4/Inhumans fan but I still know how imporant that stuff is to the lore and forces the movies to have to change it like Wanda's origin story
*Fox owned them
Sony only has the rights to Spider-Man, which they've been collaborating with the MCU. Fox are the ones who had X-Men and FF
@@thehonestreviewer7754 Oh. Well it still sucks that they own them instead of Marvel
To which Disney bought Fox last year, so Marvel technically does have the film rights now.
@@easyscout8369 We just got our first mutant in the MCU
I'm sorry, did a video happen? I saw Chris Evans & everything else seemed to fade away.
To give this and ROTSS some credit. As bad as some of the scenes can get. At least Michael Chiklis and Chris Evens as both the Thing and Human Touch respectively are perfectly cast. And they are no where near, as bad as Fant4stic.
Doom was nerfed by the way.
Hey Vizzepop uploaded season 2 episode 1 of Helluvaboss
Lets be honest, this one is a masterpiece compared to Fant4stic
2 things to say here.
1. That scene at 10:52, I heard from Josh in *Nite Shade's* reaction to this review that the scene where she strips to be completely invisible but becomes visible again when she's down to her bra and panties was a scene that only added into the script IMMEDUATELY AFTER they cast Jessica Alba in the role. Because it's the early 2000's and they have to objectify Jessica Alba.
2. This movie *_is_* bad; practically devoid of logic, common sense, and investment. But _Fant4stic_ (the one that came out in 2015) is WAY WORSE! In fact, it's the number 1 worst comic book movie I've ever seen.
Do you still have it? I so badly Wana hear you as a chipmunk lmao
can you react to halo forward on to dawn
Already have
@@theduckgoesmoo can you copy past the link on youtube
@@theduckgoesmoo totally spies was a animated show that had some nods of anime and it showed up in 2004 to 2010(I guess tell me in the comments section if I am right.) It had spinoffs like the amazing spies and team galaxy and Martin mystery . OK I think team galaxy is not a spinoffs but, it's done in the same animation style. Totally spies was more popular with books and games and DVD and music and a prequel movie of how they became spies and nostalgic critics review of it . They are girls, Clover Ewing is the one in the red catsuit , sam Simpson is the one in the green catsuit and Alex is the one in the yellow catsuit , Alex is the tomboy of the spies , sam is the smart one and Clover is the fashion one. They work at a spies place called whoop with a British guy named Jerry who is old and head of whoop .

As someone who genuinely adores not only this Fantastic Four movie, but also the comics, this Nostalgia Critic episode has always pissed me off.
Doug's biggest criticism of this movie, as well as the biggest criticism of most moviegoers who saw this movie, is that the First Family spend most of their time in the Baxter Building and only act like superheroes twice throughout the entire movie. To these people, I only have one thing to say: "Have you even read the comics?"
The Fantastic Four have always been scientists and explorers first (theoretical physicist, biologist, test pilot, astronaut), superheroes second. They don't stop convenience store robbers and save cats from trees, that's what Spider-Man is for. They don't fight terrorists or PMCs, that's what the Avengers do. The FF are there to protect the world from cosmic threats like Annihilus, or Galactus, or the Kree Empire, or the Skrulls.
Sometimes, and only sometimes, they will deal with a terrestrial threat from the likes of Mole Man or the Puppet Master. But, unless that threat comes from Dr. Doom, these problems usually get dealt with in one issue, maybe two.
The only legitimate problem I have with this movie is that the Dr. Doom you see in this movie is not the Dr. Doom we know and love to hate. This is just Norman Osborn with Emperor Palatine's powers. However, in Tim Story's defense, the real Dr. Doom (a Romani sorcerer with a better power suit than Iron Man) would not have been thematically appropriate in a movie primarily dealing with space and physical science, so I can understand that decision, even though I disagree with it.
Is this movie perfect? No.
Are there any better superhero movies? Yes.
But this is the most comic-book-accurate interpretation of the First Family in cinema, so far, and until the MCU movie comes out in 2024, this is my favorite interpretation.
Got it, you like this crap and Courtney handle any criticism of it. This movie still sucks.
I had a similar opinion on his review of TMNT(2007). He went on and on about the Turtles are not doing any crime fighting. Some versions of them rather stay out of human problems. The 03 show had Leo and Raph arguing about NYC being in a civil war, Raph says it's not their problem, while Leo believes it's their problem since defeating the Shredder led to all of this. Heck, even The Next Mutation has this annoying recurring line, "It's a human problem"
Some versions of TMNT may be consider crime fighters not every single one of them. Most of the time, they just looking out for themselves and April and Casey and they just got caught up with fighting ninjas, mutants, and aliens.
@@DarkknightChris Interesting. I've always been more of a casual fan of TMNT, but I remember appreciating the 2007 movie for being more than just a typical Turtles movie. I also really appreciated that all 4 turtles got some form of character development in that movie, as opposed to most other Turtles movies giving 100% of the development to Raph, and the others are the exact same as when the movie began.
If I could recommend a nostalgia critic video I'd go with the iron giant or the hunchback of Notre Dame.
I loved the iron giant as a kid!!
I do to it's one of my favorite animated movies
