I didn't know anything about Askersund and would have had trouble placing it on map before this video so it was very informative for me! What a great little town. Beautiful scenery with that water at the start (and the end) of the video. Also noticed that the main square had kept its old style with plenty of old buildings and none of those square boring buildings we see in a lot of swedish cities. Maybe Askersund was not big enough to attract chains like Domus, EPA etc in the 50-60s or maybe the town leadership did not allow these chains to tore down the old buildings, anyway, just great to see. The fact that they rebuilt the building that burnt down in 1989 says a lot about how important this town takes its historical heritage and look. I had no idea that Erik Dahlberg also designed churches, this guy right, what did he not do? Remarkable talent and output. If I in the future for any reason pass by Askersund area, I will definitely try to visit the town, it looks really nice.

Thanks for watching! It really was a very nice town, thought it was the last walk of a very hot day, and I'm pretty sure I had gotten a slight case of sunstroke, so I couldn't appreciate it quite as much as I would've liked :)
When it comes to the church, from my understanding, the first plans for the church was made by Jean de la Vallée and Erik Dahlberg was called in later for adjustments & additions, so I'm not sure exactly how large his involvement was here. But still, yeah, he certainly has an impressive list of achievements :)
