Last night I watched this episode at me mates: @ 10:25 - I nearly passed out laughing at Kinky John's story of being usurped in Japan driving trains for the king of "Bu-bev-do" PMSL!
There are so many things they do with other performers in-studio (e.g. Shooting Stars) where they manage not to “corpse” - but Vic evidently just can’t help himself when they do the Stott interviews. I’m glad they didn’t retake those bits, because it’s so funny watching him trying not to laugh at the sheer lunacy of the scenario. You can just see in his face, “I can’t believe we’re doing this”.
You know, as a child I used to laugh my head off at the sketch that begins at 15:20 with the talcum powder and all the other stuff, but watching it now in this day and age it's not that much different from your average ASMR video!😃😃😃
I'm afraid not, Andrew, but we can still have a lorra lorra fun with this pound I've been saving! And I've still got my trolley full of snouts and cakes, so we'll be fine.
@@andrewmaccallum2367 That's only because of your unconventional method of eating an Arctic Roll upset the other patrons, Andrew. Now, I've got a surprise for you now : We're gonna go down the drains.
@@Rugmunchersauce3I think that’s what he’s saying lol😂 “nicked for phoenix nights” NOT “nicked from phoenix nights” 👍 Though personally I don’t really think that, at most I’d say possibly inspired Peter Kay that a club would be a good subject/setting because past that they have nothing much in common.
@James Rowden Nah. Then it would be like everything else. That was the magic. They made themselves laugh. If you laughed too, good. Spike Milligan was the same.
Thank you so much for posting these. Absolutely classic show
Comedy gold, thank you for sharing.

The symphony of quiet things is definitely one of their most under-rated moments.
Petrol pump!
A Symphonic classic 🤣
Bit subtle
Thanks for sharing these
I didn’t manage to see them all at the time but remember them being a high point of their comedy :)
“What the f**k is Pastime’s!”🤣
Bad times
I remember watching this for the first time when I was 14. It was hilarious. Tom fun sketches were the best.
Such a lorra fun ...plus cakes and snouts too 😁
Getting chucked out of the b and b was nice

I was rather hoping to prise-up some cobbles, round the back of the supermarket... such a lorra fun!
@@andrewmaccallum2367 Do you know what, Andrew? I agree. Prising up cobbles sounds like a lorra fun indeed. Do you have your crowbar handy?
kinky john is the best character ever.
1:52 = So good 😂
I can see three elements of the Neil Sedaka sketch that inspired the Mighty Boosh, and the 'The Club' was just nicked for Phoenix Nights.
Other way 'round, mate, if anything. The Club came BEFORE Phoenix Nights.

Sometimes horrible smells come out of pretty ladys' pretty bottoms. 😒 It's a cruel world.
Totary

Isn't this a re-hash of Smell Of Reeves & Mortimer?

the guys in the intro all have adhd
Tried so hard to understand them through years but still alluding me
When do they allude to you?
It’s just absurd. In the best possible way.

It’s not every day that you come across something less funny than Mrs Brown’s Boys.
You should go and enjoy She-Hulk and leave Vic and Bob to us old guys. 👍
Until you came along?
Go away and watch your Britass Empire box set mate.
