Thank you for showing the machine plus water levels. This is the one I'm looking at to buy & I now know that I don't want a machine smaller than a 2.0. Thank you!!
I did notice that under other settings the water can vary, but that is under the normal wash with cold water setting. The 2.0 has worked really great for us. It washes everything we need and doesn’t take up a large amount of space.
@@heyytiff It will be good for my new apartment & for my needs. Just a queen blanket now & then for a big item. I wanted the 3.o but budget says no. Thanks.
I was fortunate with my Magic Chef 3.0 washer. I paid $55 to have Home Depot ship it to me and it arrived in almost perfect condition. It's a shame that you couldn't get another 3.0, but I'm sure your 2.0 is fine for medium-sized loads. A couple of tips I would give to people using these washers: 1. If you typically like to use mild detergents (natural detergents for example), you might want to keep something stronger on hand for underwear and socks. It might be down to the lack of an agitator, but I've found that underwear and socks sometimes don't get as clean as I would like if I'm using a mild detergent on them. 2. Make sure that you use the "bulky" function when you're washing items like jeans or towels. My understanding is that the machine won't spin as fast during the spin cycle in order to reduce wear on it from those bulky items. You'll be helping your machine's longevity if you use the "bulky" function when it's called for.
So far it’s been working out just fine for us. We don’t try and wait for the clothes to pile up. Since the kids are still young their clothes dont take up much space. Also your tips are great!
@@heyytiff The RCA 2.1 and the 3.0 are both considered small-capacity washers per Whirlpool. The RCA 3.0 is the largest small capacity size. I purchased the RCA 2.1. Small capacity washers: 1.5 - 3.4 cubic feet Medium capacity washers: 3.5 - 4.4 cubic feet Large capacity washing machines: 4.5+ cubic feet
@@platinumchaos6891hi I'm doing my research which brand to get either the magic chef or rca but I see you stated the 3.0 magic chef is smaller than the 2.1 rca ? I'm a family of 7 so which one you think would benefit me?
The left side of the tray is for liquid fabric softener which works by shooting a small amount of water into that side of the tray to start siphoning the liquid fabric softener into the machine during the rinse cycle., not liquid laundry detergent which is too thick for the dispenser. You can use liquid or powdered laundry detergent on the right side of the tray or put directly in the machine.
@@MsJackorama thank you for that information. :) i just stated what was in the manual and i have had no problems putting liquid detergent on the smaller side.
There was no where in the manual that shows a slot for fabric softener. You’d most likely have to time it and pause the machine and pour it in manually.
Thank you for the video. It was really helpful. I have this exact machine and the instructions say I should use solid detergent only. Does liquid detergent works fine ?
I am in the middle of purchasing a single hole faucet for my new single hole vanity top. Can anyone suggest which TOP OF THE LINE BATHROOM (Moen, Kohler, Grohe etc.) single hole faucet I can purchase that will connect best to this 2.0 Magic Chef washer? Does male or female AERATOR matter? I will be most Grateful for your expertise. I am a senior, live alone, and no one in Home Depot has any idea.
@@California007 yes I bought it and it doesn't fit my comforter I took that to the laundromat but it does handle a couple blankets and a few pairs of jeans at once

Great tips. I have very hard water where I live. Do you think adding a water softener such as Mule Train would hurt the machine?
@@karenmessinger9609 I wish I could help you, but I'm afraid I don't know anything about water softeners.

Hi Tiffany, great reviews!! Question: exactly how long are the hot and cold water hoses and the drain hose? Thanks!
The water hoses look to be about 4ft
Can you hook it directly to the sink?
Yes! You can attach it to the sink. Most people have theirs set up to do so. The faucet has to be compatible with screwing in the hoses though.
Hi I have a 2.0 and I want to no were the softer go i have a softer ball and I think the ball open when the washer go on and my ball bonus inside
Theres no where in the manual that points out a slot for fabric softener. I personally dont use fabric softener.

I always use liquid detergent on the left compartment.

Do you think I can wash a low thread Queen comforter in this washer?
I have yet to try that.
Have you ever tried washing a comforter I have a queen-size and I want to know if it will do a good job.
I have the 2.0 size
I have only washed my kids twin sized comforters that arent heavy weight.
Did you get it? Does it handle a queen size comforter?
@@California007 yes I bought it and it doesn't fit my comforter I took that to the laundromat but it does handle a couple blankets and a few pairs of jeans at once
Does it matter which hose you hook up Since you’re running off your Fossett
For the faucet i’ve seen most would hook into the cold water outlet even when running hot water from their sink.
What size are the water lines
I think they are 3.5ft hoses with 1in connectors.
This doesn't seem to portable.
I’ve seen online videos of people using it in their RV although we don’t utilize it that way.
It is.
