Brad: this is really accurate
Claire: this test is useless
Adorable.
this is so typical brad and claire haha
Brad was being sarcastic
Part of how well it works is your hand. Claire's hands are smaller, more delicate, and probably not as firm as Brad's.
In my experience, it works fairly well for men with large hands, but the nose/chin/forehead method is better for people without muscled slabs of meat on the end of their arms.
Peter Maag no he wasn’t
@@PoignantPirate So Claire's always came out raw because her hands are soft.
“DELANEY” and Brad putting their differences aside
@Jefferay Brad basically impersonated Timmy Turners dad and Delany makes for a good villian name :D It's just a running gag they got going on.
@Jefferay Nothing happened, it's a joke rivalery between Brad and Delaney. It's a running gag
Jefferay it’s just an inside joke between the fans that Delaney and Brad have a rivalry. Nothing to worry abt :)
Read it in brads voice
“DeLaNeY”
I love how Brad and Delaney are immediately "Eat it cold."
If you think about it a roast beef sandwich is delicious served cold. I'm torn . I grew up in Central Jersey were it is called a sub. I now live in South Jersey were it is called a hoagie.
Thin slices can be stir fryed. Steam it (over rice?). Cube it and boil in broth with vegetables (soup). Braise in red wine. Same for pork chops.
I like cold cubed steak, with blue cheese dressing as dipping sauce
Ya, totally! You heat it up, it doesn't taste as good. Make a big salad and slice the cold stake....delish!!
Iunno. When I have the leftovers of an amazing steak and sides dinner, I'm actually perfectly fine with microwaving the steak and the sides with good pats of butter amongst them. It may not be quite as amazing as it was the first time around but if amazing becomes 'good' the second time around, I'm ok with that. As of yet, I've never found myself saying, 'Dammit, I shouldn't have microwaved that!!' Just sayin....
"Just don't eat a steak. Maybe you don't like steak."
ded
This one is true. There is nothing 'steak' left in a "well" done steak. Get a roast, or a smash burger, or go all Charlie Chaplin on your shoe, or something you'll like just as much that isn't a steak.
LowbrowDeluxe...well the steak 🥩 is still there it’s just the person doesn’t want to eat blood while enjoying it. When you look up what is actually going on in relation to cooking a steak at different temps it all comes down to how much ‘raw’ steak a person wants to eat.
Some don’t want any of their meat raw which is what well done is. People can eat their food as they wish, the restaurant will still take your money either way.
@@BlairWaldorf2013 the reason so many people say its not a "steak" is not because it doesn't look like one, but because they totally missed the point of the dish.
Its the flavor, yes, FLAVOR of the blood, the tenderness of the cut, and the meathod of cooking and seasoning that makes a steak, a steak or atleast one worth paying and eating.
Itd be like if i went onto nice cream shop that served ice cream and milkshakes but i ask the guy at the counter to give me a melted cup of icecream.
It misses the point of the dish and you're going to get some weird, judgmental looks.
@@BlairWaldorf2013 You may want to look more closely into what "cooked" and "raw" actually mean.
Once the meat is above a certain temperature, the proteins have started to break down (aka: denature), which is what 'cooking' actually is.
Once you get into the 'well done' range, you've not only completely denatured most of the proteins, you've also rendered those denatured proteins insoluble and removed the steak's ability to retain moisture. . (incidentally, the same thing happens in a different way when you grind beef and then cook it)
This reduces the steak's juicyness and makes it tough and leathery.
Which is why people react so strongly to 'overcooking' steak; You've taken a juicy and flavorful cut of meat and broken down ALL of the elements that make it stand out.
@@BlairWaldorf2013 You have no idea what you're talking about. Just because the meat is still pink in the middle doesn’t necessarily mean it's raw. And if you're eating a rare or medium rare steak, you're not eating blood. The reason why people like to eat steak on the rarer side of the spectrum is because it tends to be juicier and more flavorful. The reason other people like to eat steak on the more well-done end of the spectrum is because they think pink is icky. That's all it ever seems to come down to.
I love how amiel only wears one outfit everytime he films something. What a man.
Omg was just thinking this 😂
Several of these videos were recording during the same time, some of the other people were wearing the same thing as well.
@@forgethype6026 I've seen Amiel in this outfit like 20 times now... it's definitely his BA outfit lol
That's his skin
*Yeah he shoots thoses "Every way to cook a...." and those takes multiple days to shoot and the time isn't part of the "story" in those videos like say Claire or Brad's longer shoots so changing of outfits would just mess with the continuity.*

@@JonnySniper911, not that I know of, but I'm not sure. I don't know where it started.
amiel: eat your steak however you want!!
also amiel: you have bad taste and you should grow up
Then Claire with the callout. 😂
"should i bash it with a hammer?"
sohla: why? do you have anger issues?
The level of questions asked in this video really needed replies with the sarcasm and bluntness of Chris and Andy.
I counter with saying all BA videos need Chris and Andy.
Andy: "I'd rather wear a shirt without holes than eat a well done steak."
I also miss Priya's chill vibes
They probably filmed segments with both of them but scrapped them because they were just too cruel.
Some of the answers also need to be addressed with blunt sarcasm. Let's not forget to "temper" steak and "season the inside" for an hour without a marinade.
Brad: It's a really accurate model.
Claire: This is a useless test.
Brad: surprise pikachu face

"What is the best way to make steak without smoking up my entire apartment?"
Open 2 windows and put fans in the windows, one pulling air in, one pushing air out. Bonus points if you can get the airflow to go through the kitchen.
"How best to reheat steak?"
Sous Vide. Whatever internal temp you cooked the steak to, set that temp on your sous vide. You'll heat the steak back up to that temp but not further, preserving the medium rare or whatever doneness you cooked it to prior.
And make sure those windows are on opposing sides of the apartment.
Air fry is the best option if you don't want the whole apartment to have a certain smell. It just takes longer in an air fryer but comes out medium rare everytime.

I mean I'm Turkish and in here we do every kind of meat "well-done" so that's what I'm used to. I didn't even realize it was different than most people preferred their meat until I started visiting other countries. I've tried eating rare and medium-rare steak several times before but at the end of the day I guess well-done is still what I like🤷🏻♀️
My mom is Korean and there's a similar preference for well done steak there as well. She hates steak that's anything less than well done. Of course with Korean cooking, there's often a lot of marinating and thin slicing of the meat across the grain that minimizes the impact of the toughness. It makes sense for lower quality cuts like round steak but for ribeye or New York steaks, IMO rare is much better tasting.
I've grown to enjoy pink meat a lot, but I grew up with overcooked beef as normal, and I still like it. People who really care how others cook beef are so annoying. I've had more than one person tell me I should not be allowed to eat beef well done. Idiots, lol.
Yeah, taste is subjective so it's a weak argument when people go against well-done meat or vice versa. My problem with meat closer to rare is that the texture is too soft and spongy for my liking.
I grew up eating well-done steak because people didn't know how to cook, and the first time I had actually correctly-cooked steak I was like, "oh hey, there's a reason to like steak, it isn't just an overrated, overpriced style of cooking meat". Ultimately, if you like the taste of well-done meat, there's no reason to spend the money on steak in the first place. There are way more cost-effective ways of getting that flavor, with roast or something. If what you like is *tough* meat, there are even more cost-effective ways of getting that.
I'm not being a snob about this. I think people should eat what they like. But I don't think people should overpay to eat what they like, and choosing steak to satisfy a desire for well-done meat is always going to cause that. Eating overdone steak is *inefficient*.
In my Filipino household, it's always well done. But it's really dry. 🤷♀️
