    I love making my own bagels also and guess what I discovered!!!! On the tray you put the bagels after boiling them sprinkle your topping on the tray then put your boiled bagel on top and then top it off with more toppings!!! Then when you cut your bagel in half you have toppings on both halves!!!! Wooohoooo . The choc oatmeal bake looks so great! I could eat chocolate all day! My doctor even said I can have daily dark chocolate because it helps with my magnesium hahahahah❤

      What a GREAT idea Amy!!! We will have to try this out on our next day of bagels because I love the toppings and seasonings!!
      Also high five on the chocolate! It’s heart healthy too 😜

    We made baked oatmeal at least once a week when kids were all at home. I've done the chocolate like yours, a peaches and cream one, one like an oatmeal raisin cookie and an apple one.
    It has been literally years since I have made bagels. This makes me want to make some now.
    You are a very frugal mom and teaching your kids the value of making your own meals is teaching them not only frugality but showing them a MUCH healthier way to eat. Good job mama!
    I'm like you if a recipe is hard, has too many ingredients or is too labor intensive, chances are high that I won't make it. For me most "recipes" are just general guidelines, and I NEVER follow one in its entirety.
    Thanks for sharing another great video. I love watching the kids help you.

      Hello friend! Baked oatmeal at least once a week is great, you have a schedule and you stick to it! I have to be more like you and plan our meals! Oh man peaches and cream sounds so good right now!
      PLease make those bagels at home, you will never buy them at the store again! I would recommend using a mixer to help you knead the dough because it does take a bit of effort!
      Yes we are just alike in following a guideline on a recipe and never following it to a T. We should always adjust to our environment!

    What a pleasure it is watching your family make meals together. Mama Rosa has taught them all so well! I must admit, watching little Mercy handle food with such ease is so fun. Her gentle energy shows through in the final product. What a gift. Thank you all so much!

    Just love watching your videos and seeing your kiddos. We just became and empty nesters yesterday, and its nice to see your interactions with your kids. Such a precious time. Easy to get caught up in sports, school and business, but so awesome you all gather in the kitchen and work together! 😊😊😊 I especially appreciate the videos as I am already missing my little being here. 😊😊😊

    Great to see the kids involved. ❤ You organize all so well. I also prepare my own bread, Chinese dumplings, pizza etc. When I cook or bake I always make sure to put my hair in a bun. I am always worried if I don’t do it.

      Hi there Sandra! Thank you so much for tuning in and joining us in the kitchen. That's so great you prepare your own baked foods too!
      Our family is not very worried about the hair being down but for the simple fact that it can get hot I may just have to haha

    I have a three day weekend coming up and it is my mission to make bagels. When I watch you in your humble kitchen, and you’re making bagels and it’s as easy as can be, I have no reason to feel intimidated!

    • @thehaipath
      @thehaipath  2 місяці тому +2

      Hello Suzanne! Yes please make these bagels!! Do you have a mixer that can help you knead them? It seems like bagel dough does take a bit of work but if you have a mixer it would make it way easier.

    One of my favorite things with very ripe bananas, is to make pancakes. I add cinnamon, and freeze the extras.

    • @thehaipath
      @thehaipath  2 місяці тому +4

      Yes! We make blender pancakes and it’s a great oil substitute so if you don’t want to add oil in your recipe you can easily use bananas!

    Homemade bread products are just the best. I usually take a day and bake a loaf of sourdough, then slice and freeze, buns, and English muffins. Store bought English muffins are so darn gross. I think I will do some bagels next time. I haven’t made them in forever. ❤

    • @thehaipath
      @thehaipath  2 місяці тому +3

      Hello Mary! I keep saying I want to start my sourdough, but I think Trey wants to wait for the weather to get a little cooler because it's still so hot out here during the day time!
      Oh man I've learned so much about store bought bread, literally every single bread I've found has preservatives in them and I choose NOT to support them!

  • @tonyajohnson3450

    Hi Rosa, have you ever made sourdough bread?

    • @thehaipath
      @thehaipath  2 місяці тому +3

      Hi Tonya yes we have! We made lots of einkorn sourdough before, but we gave it a rest as it’s quite the commitment haha but Trey had suggested we get back into it!
