Your Friend was right its not about the moon landing its about America spreading its culture arround the world.
That moment when someone gets something right and the other one "nah its conspiracy theory bruh watch the video" xD
“2+2 is 4”
“Nah bro you’re not seeing the bigger picture. Bush did 9/11 and now they’re trying to get that out to the public. Open your eyes man”
Yeah this triggered me so much.
Yeah.. stopped watching after that
Moonlnding was fake too, they say nixon do a phone call to neil Armstrong is ridiculous.
Americans are the only ones that don’t get the mesage 😂😂😂lol
exactly, i showed this to my dad, he doesn't speak neither German nor English and he understood it lol
If they where smart enough to get the message, there where no message
Obviously! Wtf else can we expect 😂
Absolutely! Amerika is so egotistical that they will never understand lol.
so true ^^
Nah, the black guy was right.
For once the guy with the glasses isn’t the smartest one!
both were right. Dont you get it?

Song critizies America's Politics way of life and behavior☺like trop said
Yeah, Americans always try to see conspiracy theories in everything and just ignore the obvious conclusion.
The song mean:"Fuck you America"
@@alexdeseusa1484 that's right
The english version reveals allot of what they mean.
The moon landing bit was a complete joke. Look at how comedic the whole video is; how could they NOT make a moon landing joke? The song is 100% about Americanization and as soon as your buddy caught on you flat out shut him down telling him he was wrong. I feel like you're only trying to see what you want to see to fuel your own beliefs instead of listening to what the band has to say. The lyrics don't say a single thing in reference to the moon or conspiracies.
Das würde ich so unterschreiben.
When you think of America you also think about lots of conspiracy theories. I'm not saying that i believe those theories, but i guess they went for a double meaning with that scene.
absolutely who finds America great, except for Americans? loool
No they also mocked them for faking the moon landing. I think you're trying to fuel your own belief because that'd mean your whole world is fake
It's to illustrate hollywood. That same scene had makeup being put on other people from the rest of the video and so on.
To illustrate hollywood and a hidden face
This is not about the moon landing lol! It's about American consumerism has spread across the globe, notice the African tribespeople watching tv and eating pizza? So they sing We're all living in Amerika, since everyone is into consumerism. It's a social commentary/observation wrapped in a fun metal song peppered with Rammstein's funny sarcasm.
Yes it's also about the moon landing you idiot. Rammstein is deeper than that. It's all a message.
But ofc. it would shatter your whole world if it comes out that they've faked the moon landing
Describes america in three words: cocacola sometimes war🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"This is not a love song" all said
for real ppl hate our reaction lol
@@ptbempire only the reaction of the left guy.... think about it ...
You are so Wrong . The Song is not about a Moonlanding is Fake
Right, Rammstein are not conspiracy nuts. If anything, they make fun of people who think the moon landing was faked.
Nah, this would mean they were convinced that there was a moonlanding. In fact, Rammstein rarely make definitive statements.
Yep. It‘s about cultural imperialism.
No they are making fun of the moonlanding
UncleJerk No they do not.
The guy on the left is clueless. Its literally a disstrack
It's not really a disstrack, it's about american cultural & policy domination around the world
It's amazing... Every time I see americans reacting to this song it's always "nah... They can't be talking shit about America! It must be something else...". Nope, your friend was right. This is actually 100% against America imperialism
Isn't it ironic? It's ok for Amerikan's to speak ill of other countries, but as soon as it's pointed out that they are controlling freaks, it's the worst crime against their ego. LOL
@@sherrygeorge8613 your comment has nothing to do with Diego rolle comment and what you just said is also false
@@sherrygeorge8613 Ikr..
This happens when you are told (or indoctrinated), that you live in the best country in the world.
So true
For context: the video was a reaction to the war mongering and increased world policing after 9-11. All wrapped into a cheery, positive and funny song with a slight hint of sarcasm and irony.
thumbs up for your friend who got it right from the start
Both were right
@@CooKieFigHt11 No. The white guy was highly ignorant towards the message because of the moon landing and telling his black friend how "he's being wrong."
Troop is one of the few Americans that I saw reacting, who instantly found out the real meaning of this song.
There‘s a word for what this song is about. It‘s called cultural imperialism.
The song is definitely NOT about a conspiracy theory regarding the moon landing. Rammstein strongly opposes all conspiracy theories.
Hi Guys. My Interpretation (as a German who understands all the lines):
This song is against america. It Came out shortly after the 2nd Iraqwar. America pushed their allies to join the war against their will.
"wer nicht tanzen will am Schluss weiss noch nicht das er tanzen muss" translates to: "who doesnt want to dance in the end doesnt know he has to dance" which means "you have to do as i say" also he is singing: "ich zeige dir wie es richtig geht" "I show you how its done properly"
The part on the moon where the americans cant build the flagpost probably refers to the fact that a German (Wernher von Braun, a former nazi rocketsientist) developt the rockets for the Apollo missions.
The Line: "this is not a lovesong" with the native american warriors refers to the history of americans stealing their land and murdering their culture and with the modern people during this line the wanna say that this cultural "Murder" is still in progress by americanizing the world (I think here he is speaking not to the amerians, instead he is "warning" the other people to not blindly follow.)
All in all this song probably wants to tell the people that america has become a no-brain Bully who wants to direct everybody and everything and should stop their current way and evolve back to what it once was.
This comment is probably going to piss some people off, but remember: this is just my Interpretation
you are 1000% correct sir
Es ist nicht prinzipiell gegen Amerika. Es werden, wie immer bei Rammstein, alle Seiten betrachtet.
I agree.
German guy that listens to Rammstein since the 90ies. No, they are not into conspiracy theories. Otherwise I would not listen to them, lol.

@@ptbempire Seriously? That is your response?
I think you're not the smartest. They were both right.
Rammstein meant to mock america for faking the moon landing.
@@CooKieFigHt11 Nope. It's not about that. Fake moon landing setting is both an easter egg to that conspiracy theory and a metaphor to wolrd becoming americanized.
The dude in the right nailed it. The other dude talking about faking a moon landing....listen to the lyrics, watch the video and it becomes clear as light that this is about America’s soft power in the world.

Your friend is right. The song is about how America is pushing this image of being so incredible/wonderful (wunderbar) and awesome to other nations (and who are adopting the culture) while it is not.
The Song is about the usa being a cultural influence that exists in the whole world, as a way of life, idea, consumer product etc.
no
@@rest1987 yes
Thank you. My god, the guy on the left in this video, wtf are you talking about? . Please go educate yourself about this song.
This song is totally criticizing the USA and their diplomatic and politic empire as well as their culture hegemony. It's not just "a tasteful of America"
How can someone watch the video and miss the point so hard. Lol
Your friend got the message right, though. The whole point of "Amerika" is that how American culture is overruling the world, how it affects to people's everyday lives globally and how Americans shove their own ignorance about other cultures down people's throats; e.g. in every country where Christmas is celebrated people automatically believe Santa Claus lives in North Pole (even though that's not the case). You only see the moon landing and don't get the message the song is spreading. You can search for the translated lyrics to get better picture.
The first guy was right, it´s about the US cultural and politics expansion. "This is not a love song", that´s very explicit.
I'm feeling sorry for the guy with the glasses. He really doesn't understand...
You need to respond to the fact that your friend was right first time.
Rammstein videos often have little to do with the song itself. This song is not about the Moon landings, it's about the spread of American culture around the world through either war or cultural imperialism and the desire of the USA to control everything (the lyrics are essentially America telling everyone they must dance to the tune coming from the Whitehouse).
Rammstein also don't do conspiracy stuff. If anything it's just a mocking presentation of the general perception that everything about America is fake and artificial.
In Germany we say to someone like the white guy: "You are not the brightest candle on the chandelier."
"Du bist nicht die hellste Kerze auf dem Leuchter."
nice glad you enjoyed the video :)
Dude on the right was spot on. Glasses, you're missing the point.
I hope that bs about the fake moon was a joke cause youre friend actually got the idea behind the song
this video has 0% to do with the moon landing.
black guy is on point, white guy doesn't get it
yeah, the guy on the left definitely has no Idea what he is talking about. He sounds like some sort of conspiracy theorist..
The man in middle east, see what cigarette hes smoking, Lucky strike 👌
The dude who thinks he gets it, is the one that doesn't get it
And the dude who is the one that "doesn't get it" is the one that gets it.
So funny
Santa actually has a Dutch origin. In the time that America was being colonized Dutch colonists went to New Amsterdam and celebrated the yearly tradition called ''Sinterklaas''. When New Amsterdam was traded with the British for the country Surinam British colonists lived together with the Dutch colonists. The city changed it's name into New York but the Dutch yearly tradition stayed and became a Christmas holiday. Santa Klaus is just a minor name change from Sinterklaas.
So Rammstein isn't saying that the moon landing is fake.
Actually here in Germany the most people don't think the moon landing is fake, so do I
So you were fooled by america. Americanization brainwash at it's fullest.
A lot of Americans don't even believe the moon landing was fake
@@CooKieFigHt11 1/10 of Americans believe moon landing is a fake. True story.
@@CooKieFigHt11 the religious nuts from this country don’t even believe we’ve ever been to space. They truly believe that we are unable to break through and that any rocket we’ve launched has only smashed into the firmament. It is alarming how many morons we have amongst us that downplay mankind’s achievements.
WTF xDDD The guy on the right is totally right when he says: "I get it, they're trying to say that America is taking over the world" and then the guy on the right replies very sure of himself: "Nah, what they're getting at is that America faked the moon landing". LMAO when conspiracy theories meet the simple and beautiful act of reasoning.
" these guys have been awake, have been truthseekers" alright time for another video, conspiracy looney
You guys should see the making off video for Amerika. It has english subtitles there you can find out what the band wanted to tell with the video and what their intentions were.
They also have making off videos for tons of other songs :)
We're all living in America - nah bro, it's about moon landing
Coca-Cola sometimes war
It's not about the moon landings. They happend, no doubt about it. The Apollo Spaceships were tracked by third parties via radar triangulation distance measuring. The song is clearly about cultural influance. The Video is not necessarily matching the lyriks. This is often the case, with this band.
песня о высокомерии, о том, что американцы считают себя пупом земли и всех пытаются сделать под себя, распространяя свою культуру и образ жизни
the guy on left didnt get a message
"Wunderbar" means wonderful. The cultural dominance of America was founded by it putting the first man on the moon, since then, germans and other countries embraced the US Culture as something aspirational, basically what you guys would describe as "the american dream"
The lyrics hint at that, that the borders of american culture basically expand beyond its actual physical limitations. So when they say "We're all living in america, america is wunderbar" they say; We all live in america, (because) america is wonderful. But, in the video they show contradictory points to that, hinting that American culture also brought uneccessary violence, supression, alianation, poverty and several other negative influences into the world. Like the aspiration of being rich, free and living in a country that achieves greatness beyond the planet, its destruction is equally as widespread.
You can buy Lucky Strikes basically everywhere in the world (with some minor exceptions) you can eat at McDonalds everywhere,.. but that doesn't solve the world hunger crisis, or make people actually healthier/happier.
This is why the last scene said "this is not a love song" its a reminder what the US has already destroyed, suppressed and alianated to its, and our worldwide detrement.
You were right saying its all for show, because the american dream is nothing more than "all for show" - its propaganda. Consumerist, capitalist propaganda that is at the basis of everything that the US Politics struggles with today. People are payed less due to rising inflation, there is a housing crisis, no healthcare, a overproduction of food, fattening of the american people, and at the same time still starvation and "school lunch debt"
How can america, land of the free, proclaim itself free, when it has the biggest prision population in the world? When it has actual slave labor, and by default slave labor.
This is musical critique from a poet & musician. Nothing more.
the irony in this video is hilarious
Hey guys.....this song is not a song about how great US is, it is the opposite.....please check it :-)
They made a special version for those Americans who didnt get it because they couldn't bother to research the translated lyrics. The lyrics in the English version are not the same as in the German one. The message is more clear in the English version so even you can understand it. Look for : Rammstein-Amerika(English Version)
"So this is about how America is taking over the world"
"No"
*Man prays to the oil refinery*
"sAuDi aRabiA"
the : were all living in amerika, amerika, ist wunderbar (is wonderful) actually means how the americans spread theyre culture and the amerika ist wunderbar is meant ironic, because it isn´t, but many people think it is
Well it is wonderful?
Had to stop the video as soon as he said it’s about faking the moon landing and now everybody is awake! 🙄 the meaning went straight over his head! But not surprising. The other guy gets it!
I am German and He literally said music is coming from the White House ..
No we are not all Americanised.
American dude at its lying again :D your friend was right its a critic addressed to you guys and your consumption and your influence into everything... Nothing with the moonlanding
The message of this song song is simplicity. Simple text, simple music, simple (mind) politics
this is not a love song, this is not a song of admiration!!!
I'm a german guy. I know my english grammar skills are not the best, but the german lyrics are... It's about how the american culture increase all over the world. Mc Donalds at the the Red Square in Moscow or big cities in China and u can buy a Coca Cola in a desert place of Africa or Mickey Mouse in Disney Land Paris, ....the Moon Landing Video is a metaphor, an ironic view on America who try to explain the world how it should be, but in the end we have to reflect if this goes in the right direction. It's a reference for the massive impact of the american culture which taking place all over the world. The band message here is:
Is it ok ? ...or not good at all ? A simple spoken line in between from the frontman shows up all... "This is not a love song" ...I guess there's no place for interpretation in this one ;-)
....and iI's not about the fake moon landing !
