    Colon cancer is cancer that arises in the colon rectal area usually from a polyp.
    Most cases are adenocarcinoma, which refers to the type of cell type and there's estimated approximately 140,000 new cases of colorectal cancer per year; approximately 100,000 of those being colon cancer and approximately 40,000 are rectal cancer.
