just a tip for the people waiting for the other pack, you can actually use the cc light rays if you have em under generate effects. modify em on the lightning and it works kinda well
Lightsaber download failed, but I think I've got enough of a hang on it to create my own directly within my composition. Also, I think I'm going to skip exporting it as an animation so I can retain control to some degree. Still, thanks, dude. I'm using AE CC 2018 same as you, yet the folder download link from videocopilot installation note says (Presets compatible with AE 7, CS3 and CS4). Nonetheless, in their video tutorial they have mentioned after downloading the file to go and find (AndrewKramer) folder copy and paste it in the preset folder, then it will show up in Effects & Presets in my AE?! Now I can't find that file, so basically can you please inform me how I can get it to work on my Ae CC 2018 as you have did for yourself. Much thanks and respect, best regards.

what if you add the flare before you render the lighting? wouldn't it be quicker and still look the same?

Film Learnin not 8-bit. Straight up cartoon kinda like you are your normal self and then you just disintegrate and you are in a cartoon world!
