Well done. Very clear and at set at a good pace
Thanks for your pattern and instruction. Very good and much appreciated!
This was my first project made with cork. It turned out adorable so thanks for your tutorial!
This is the best demonstration of making a zippered pouch that I've seen! I just bought some cork and can't wait to try it after seeing that it is easy to work with.
So pretty. I had no earthly idea how to make a box corner. And I really love the color combos and the cork fabric.
Never saw that cork material, the bag looks awesome!
This cork bag is soooooo cute. Thank you for this tutorial.
Another Hit! Love this bag and easy to follow Tutorial. Especially like that I can take note, re-wind and review areas! You are the Best!!

Thank You!
Thank you! Sew fun! 🧵
Great tutorial! I love all of your tutorials, so easy to follow. Where do you purchase your tabs with your name from?
Nice tutorial, you made it very easy, I just had a hard time with all the extra talking, going over the instructions again and again. It's pretty basic and simple even for a beginner like me. Because its a video it's easy enough to rewind if needed. But thanks for putting in all the extra work. I just made a similar one yesterday, with an adjustable strap (cross body bag) without instructions, wore it around today and had several people ask me to make them one. Very fun :-) Nice to have some actual measurements tho, so thx again.
Excellent tutorial. Thank you so much 👏 💓 💗
Good easy instruction for the pouch. What are the final measurements of the bag? I would like to make a bigger one.
You are a very good teacher
Awesome bag, I love it. Shouldn't the dimensions on the screen read lining 8.5 x 9 not 9.5 x 9 ? I had to cut mine down. My daughter is going to love her new bag. Thank you !! Love, Carrie in Alaska
It ended up the same for me.
At the end of the video, she says something about changing the measurements because she liked the second bag better, but evidently, she didn't change them correctly.
Great tutorial-like how you show dimensions onscreen-thanks so much, will be my first attempt in using cork fabric-any particular needle size?
Thank you so much for sharing all your tutorials. I have a planner sized 9hx7w Planner and wanted to make a pouch like this for it, but not sure what measurement should be. Can you help me? I am a new sewer.. Thank you
Love
can i ask where you get your labels made? I want to start doing that on my stuff. Great tutorial as always and thank you for taking the time to make these because i know it takes a lot of work and i appreciate your doing them.
Lorrie
Great tutorial. Can you tell us how you went about making your logo digital hang tab? Thanks!
Afternoon
Great job. What type a sewing machine you use?
You do such good work. A monogram would really be fun to add With my cricut!
I am going to try this. Did you use regular foot or teflon?
👍
I think even I can do this! ThanQ
Thank you for this video. I have a question about the lining measurement, it doesn’t add up to have it 9.5”. I think it should be 8.5”.
I don't see the link to your zipper tab you mentioned. Can you point me to that link please?
How durable is this cork material?
Isn’t the fabric lining 8.5” (ht) by 9” (width)? Not 9.5” height? If the outer two are 5” (cork) and 4” (fabric) (=9”) and are then seamed together, so they lose some height, I think the lining needs to be 8.5” in height.
What type of needle did you use?
Do you use a regular needle with the cork or heavy duty. Is the tape sold at fabric centers?
I've heard people say to use a heavier duty needle (for multiple layers I guess), or a size 90 universal needle (EU size, find the equivalent in US size if you need to).
Gemma thank you
Lorrie, I used double sided tape once and it made my sewing machine needle stick in the fabric and backed up my thread. Epic disaster. How can I prevent this? Is there a certain kind of sewing machine needle I should be using?
The wash-away basting tapes available online won't gum up your needle. They're meant for use with sewing machines.
Gemma thank you! I ordered some from Amazon. 😊
You make it look too easy
Im not sure anyone else noticed this but I just discovered it the second time I tried to make this bag... it looks like your cork pieces in the video are 6"x9" @ 2:23. This puzzled me last time as I had to trim up my lining fabric quite a bit so that the lining pieces would be nearly the same when all stacked together. Am I wrong? If so, can you explain to me maybe what I am doing wrong?
I noticed that too, after I already cut my cork fabric and sewed it :( I thought hers looked more than 5" and I guess I should have trusted what I suspected before cutting.
Love all of your tutorials! I have a question on this..... are you sure that lining piece isn’t 8.5 x 9? If you sew the cork and fabric together and they are 5” and 4” tall, once they are sewn, they will be 8.5 and you say the lining is 9.5. Thanks
Betsy D funny you say that because I had 8.5 x 9 written down but when I assembled and cut they were not right. I went ahead and made the lining a bit larger and stated in the video to trim them up to match after you assemble the outer. Most of my followers are beginning sewist and this gives enough wiggle room if the seam allowance is off.
Lorrie Nunemaker thanks Lorrie!
The cork piece in the video is actually cut 6 x 9, not 5 x 9.
I love your tutorials Lorrie!! I also got 8.5 x 9” when I sewed the top two together. I trimmed it though!
Betsy D this was my question as well.

Cork fabric not available on Amazon.
Check your local fabric/craft store. I know mine carries it.
Live in small town, I rely on Amazon a lot. It’s no biggie, just wanted to alert people that the link is no good.
@@dianaherrera3654 Hobby Lobby has it.
@@dianaherrera3654 Amazon has other cork options and colors
It is important to buy good quality cork, usually from Portugal. The cheaper cork will not hold up over time and will begin to crack. Two great online places to purchase cork are Fabric Funhouse and Sew Sweetness.
I think you must have been very good in Geometry. LOL
I enjoyed this video, however, I found the video quality to be a bit poor, it kept going in and out of focus.
Gloria Batty i do the best I can. I’m a one man show
