My county in Michigan encrypted all PD frequencies a few years ago. They have their reasons but I think it’s BS and a huge violation of our rights. I’m seventy five years old and my dad was a municipal firefighter and we had monitor radios in the family since 1962. I grew up with scanners and had plenty of my own. I was also a firefighter for twenty two years and to have the cops just pull their frequencies was a real pain in the backside after all those years.
Happy New Year, pal. 🍻 I'm surprised you still have access to transmissions. Officers are patrolling the train stations and perimeters. However, morale is very low for a reason. Can't say a word until you retire. Be safe!
