After seeing the whole context of the show at the time, I can finally sympathize with Don Valentine. Don had no business in the ring, but he probably wouldn't have been in the ring had NWA actually paid their wrestlers and not spend like they thought were Ted Turner when they were not Turner Corporation in terms of finances.
