At two o clock one afternoon in the Spring of 2001 I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I was listening to this song after having taken a massive speedball, meanwhile, outside in the busy street in Bath, all the vehicles were stuck in their jam. I managed to escape that absolutely insane world nine years ago. This song always reminds me of that time on Bathwick Street. The people and the stories would blow your mind.
Even though I also like death metal and other stuff, I have to agree... this and other 16 horsepower songs are above all and everything. I never skip a song when 16HP comes along during shuffle.
Metal heads on youtube comments talk like they are doing someone a favour by listening to something not metal. Death Metal is embarassing unless you're in high school, this is music for grown ups boy 😘😘

I have been religious once, but lost my religion becouse of finding out about my autism and certain things happening to me. I could return to my faith by saying that it was God's meaning to make me this way and find my way in life. It would be an easy way to do so, but I don't think I should trust in things that I am not totally sure of. Allthough I must say D.E.E. played some sensitive snares in my soul. Yet, I am still atheist, I love his biblical themes. He respects others, so should I...
The skepticism is healthy but IMO you should never deny your self Gods love due to any rational that the Ego proposes. It is unconditional and essential for the soul. That said, for non of that do you need to partake in religious tradition if you don't wish or feel comfortable. In fact keep it all with a grain of salt. No need for any answer or pledge of loyalty if you don't feel like doing one.
This entire album is so beautiful. Every song has a haunting quaility.

Are these guy related to band Kiss the anus of black cat ? Voice sounds familiar. Despite the name, its one of the best "dark folk" bands out there.
Not as far as I know, Kiss the anus of a black cat is from Belgium and these guys are from U.S.A i believe...
+lex huismans From Denver Colorado
David Eugene Edwards is the singer. He left the band to form Woven Hand, also awesome.

Shhhh, let's not overanalyze :). My answer: It does not matter (not in an ignorant way). What matters is respect for other people and their genius.
Manes cover is never better than the original from 16 horsepower...
