This is fantastic - I was talking about generative music yesterday to my friend and then this appeared and showed me a bunch of great techniques I hadn't considered within Renoise. I haven't even been taking advantage of the phrases... nice bunch of tricks. Thanks for the tutorial!
For sure, glad if it's helpful. I will be dropping some doofers for generative music application before too long, a long with a bunch of other cool stuff. Stay tuned 🤘👽
This is brilliant. Thank you! So many possibilities here. I’ve been using Renoise since its first ever release and there are still so many things I have no idea about.
Very cool video! Knew most of these but didn't know the phrase macro mapping one. Very cool! Think that one is going to open up a lot of new possibilities.
Really strange but I cant get a single Y command to trigger the sample as frequently as your example here(around 22:00). Any ideas on how to fix this? Awesome tutorial.
not sure if you still are active but you really opened my eyes to how modular renoise is, thank you. Out of curiosity how do you come across these tricks? just playing with the software i guess right ?
@@MrZensphere nice! That’s very cool, just out of curiosity as it seems you write a lot of music, what’s your day job? I ask because I study computer science and I get really inspired seeing people make music whilst holding down jobs etc
@@cowliver1032thanks! Glad if it's inspiring 😃 I'd rather not say exactly, but I'm self employed in the skilled trades and make my own schedule, so, most weeks there can be time for music 🎶😁🎶
Hey, dont know why but your video breaks my phone, first it was all green and glitchy, not its black screen and glitchy. First time this ever happened. Though I do know of one other video that actually turned off my phone! its not a wifi issue or anything, I immediately switched to a few other vids and they were fine !
I'm so happy I found your channel, thank you so much.

@@xxerox808 yes, it's a deep piece of software, for sure! Still learning and discovering things myself!
Great teacher. Ourstanding tutorial.

Yeah, it's really powerful, imo. Throw a random lfo on the macro for extra generative goodness 👽✨
Props on figuring it out. Probably biggest game changer since learning 0Gxx trick for polymeter.
@@thesystemboot2664 thanks! What's the gxx polymeter trick?
Got that trick from dblue on the forums.
@@thesystemboot2664 cool. But what is the trick exactly? I feel like I don't know about it...
Cool vid thanks!
great tutorial, thanks for sharing ^^
Excellent tutorial
Thanks! Glad if you got something useful out of it!
excellent!

Do you have a Y00 in the fx column? That's essential for triggering only one of the phrases at a time.
The note off commands are crucial too
@@MrZensphere Didn't have the Y00 in the fx column. Also had the phrase knob turn up. Thank you so much!
@@stonekisser yep, sure thing! Happy tracking ✌️👽✨
