After getting hold of some original charts i can confirm the weights stated where well over, in future there will be more accurate weights as we were going off other people giving us the weights once we had given the measurements.
Amazing trip again, guys, making your dreams come true. It was brilliant to watch. Congratulations to you and Sol on cat h your dream fish and keep up that great content 19:56 💪💪💪
We go fishing to try catch our dreams 🎣 you lad's absolutely smashed it big time 💪🏻💪🏻🎣🎣👏🏻👏🏻 fantastic video mark 👍🏻👍🏻 i definitely need to feel that that adrenaline rush 😁 well done again lad's 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Finally had time to watch this in full last night. EPIC ! What a battle. Next challenge is to catch it from the kayak mate😂. Well done, fantastic specimen. 💯🤙
I really dont think I'd want one on the yak it would be terrifying 😳 they have some power behind them lol, thanks for watching pal. I watched yours earlier on it looked a stunning place to fish. I will have to try it at some point.
Just a note on fish handling - you shouldn't be putting your hands in the spiracles (holes), you will do some real damage to the fish. Either grab hold of the cheeks, or a well placed gaff is kinder.
@@HairyPollocksfishing it's a personal thing with gaffing - I understand why folk don't do it, sometimes it is safer though, to place it safely but if you're not confident on where, it's better not to (and even better if you don't need the gaff at all!) It's a challenging place to land fish for sure. Dependant on the state of tide, I like using the steps at the other side, I found it easier as you can just nudge them up there, and unhook, photos and away. Keep plugging the content - great channel! Cheers, Liam
Hi mate a watch all ya content fish of a life time there bonnie lad well done matey any chance you can give me a bit help was looking to give it a shot next year the location of loch aline the line a know you need 30-40lb with 70-80lb leader and av heard neap tides are the best to fish for them there for theres not alot of pull in the water thanks pal big help if you could give me the heads up🙋♂️👌🏻🎣👊🏻😊
@cupholder3120 first of all thanks for the support matey, i personally wouldn't recommend anything less than 60lb braid, direct to a 9ft up and over rig, 295lb swivels, minimum of 150lb rovex libe for rigs and 12/0 or 14/0 mustad hooks, we have hooked up to all ours currently from around 2 hours into the flooding tide, you want good movement in the water and this week is all massive tides, we have only successfully hooked upto them by kayaking or sibving the baits out well past Casting distance due to it being a tackle graveyard with the casting distance. Hope this helps and tight lines

Thanks for that, i would never gaff them like but can be very awkward to land here depending on the tide
