    Kore makes the best wallet I’ve ever had in my 60 years of life on this planet. Its slim and could not be more enjoyable to use. I no longer have to deal with my massive leather wallet. Its a great great wallet

    Ive had this wallet for almost 2 years and its still looks good. Holds plenty of cards and cash and I never feel it even in my back pocket. Well made 4 stars for me.

    Glad to see you finally got around to reviewing Kore Essentials. I've been using both this slim money clip wallet and their bifold slim wallet for around 6 months now and really like both of them because of their minimalist form factor. I alternate between the two as I'm not sure which one I like better. So far, they've held up just fine. No issues at all with thinness of the leather, lack of reinforcement stitching or painted edges. They both still look good as new. I usually carry my driver's license, 7 credit cards and maybe 5 to 8 slips of cash. The pull straps make access to cards very easy. With the money clip wallet, I insert the cash (US currency) with the open sides down so the edges don't get frayed. Happy with the purchase of both wallets and I also own 3 of their belts which are very high quality.

    Another wallet I’m going to have to get. The wife may be heading out the door soon. Their billfold version also looks cool.

    I have this wallet and love it. I agree though that I wish they would use a heavier leather. That would make this wallet about perfect for everyday minimalist carry. Also,could I request you do a review on the bench built wallet?

    I would imagine RFID blocking in this case can be useful. You see, when multiple RFID cards stack together, they sometimes interfere with each other. And the RFID blocking materials in the main compartment can ensure the card in the quick access slot can be reliably detected.

    Good review as always. A suggestion is at some point you should make video just talking on how to predict quality or sign of problem, mainly of leather type. For example whether reinforcement stitching is needed, when it is not, type of stitching, how to differentiate burnish and painting, and the impact on overall quality. You touch it here and there, but probably good to have overall summary video. This video is actually cover examples of common leather wallet problem.

    Picking wallets certainly ain't easy task and they need to tick a lot of boxes, but before that process even takes place I always judge the aesthetic aspect of it. Does it look stylish. Would it look good if you whip it out at an event. Of course this is a completely subjective thing. This wallet however doesn't look stylish at all. Feels cheap even though the materials might be high quality.
    Which basically crosses it off potential list of wallets to try immediately. Saying so great review as always and I appreciate you review such wide variety of wallets and bring exposure to all of them. Without this channel I would have never found wallets like Mitchell MCW, Houbei and Anson Calder Card Wallet which are the main trio I use.

      Glad we could help! And yes, everyone needs to have a process they go through to understand if a wallet will work for them. If you don't then you end up with a drawer full of wallets you'll never use.

    Not sure I'd be as lenient with the cash insertion test. If bills poke out past the sides of a wallet I'd be tempted to call it a fail, same as if it were a bi-fold and bills poked out the top. I may just be mincing words, but with the non-US bills it seems more like a money clip with card slots than a 'wallet'.

    Great review! If you remove the money clip and use it as a separate wallet , could that spot where the clip goes hold a card or two?

    • @EricTom
      @EricTom 3 роки тому +1

      It's possible, but I wouldn't recommend it. If you push the cards all the way in, they end up below the opening and are hard to pull back out.

    Thanks Mark another great review. Just like you said I would look at this wallet if it didn’t have RFD that crunchy sound, sounds awful. And yes definitely thicker leather. But the way it is now I would have e to pass. Thanks 🙏🏻
