I got this microphone today for around $27 converted and all my friends told me that I sound like a radio DJ or streamer over on discord. If you're looking for a sign to get it, this is it! If you have a noisy place though I recommend using a boom arm to get it closer to your face when speaking :)
That’s awesome to hear Siege. Can’t go wrong with this mics Price to Performance. Thanks for sharing your experience here in the comments for others who are considering to pick this little gem up! And great recommendation with the boom arm. Much appreciated bro ✊🏽
Did you have to use any editing software to get the best audio out of Discord? That's what I would primarily use it on. I need to upgrade from my trash headset mic. The quality is so bad. However, I'm not really apt at getting the best audio out of mics via software.
@@Amadeus_ I’m not sure the answer but maybe Siege can chime back in but based on my examples in the video testing multiple apps it should sound as good as my raw files I shared in the video. Some apps will compress the sound like zoom but not to sure about discord
That’s awesome Jessa. I saw someone use this microphone for drums and it sounded pretty good so should be great with vocals as well. Good luck with your covers 🤞🏽🤞🏽
I'm using the mic for about 3 months now. Previously I was with the built microphone in my Razer Kraken tournament edition. All my friends said that the Maono sounds mind blowingly good for it's price. Boom arm is a must for the mic since it pics up a lot of the keyboard and desk noices. 10/10 would recommend
No doubt David. Can’t beat it for its price. Very easy to use and sounds pretty good for its price for sure

Thanks Hazel. This would be a good choice for voiceovers. I’d just talk closer like 3 -5 inches away to get more of a voiceover sound but would work perfectly Fine. Good luck with your voiceovers. Thanks for your comment.
Hello! Excellent detailed review! Thank you! I have a somewhat unusual task. I need to record ultrasound 10-80 kHz, and the analog-to-digital converter of this microphone MAONO PM461TR should cope with such a task. Would you be so kind as to make a test recording of 192 kHz / 24 bit? Please just shake a bunch of iron door keys so that they clink in front of the microphone and put the resulting wav file somewhere without processing.
You hear background noise? In your room for like pc fans or outside? This mic works best close within a foot or so maybe get closer to it and adjust the knob on the front
I already bought it and I like it but I didn't know alot how it works, I use pc and I just plugged it in and it worked for everything and j love it so far and it's great for asmr.
Great video William! I think this might be cool to use for my desktop. For my UA-cam videos I am using the Rode VideoMicro, I feel like it is close to the same quality.
Yes testing this at the same distance it is very similar in souls quality. This mic just is made out of plastic but for the price can compete in a “professional audio world” 🙌🏾💯
