I saw them.in Norman, Oklahoma at The Opolis. The bass player made the band wait for me and my friends to finish our blunt before they went on. He smoked with us. This had to have been 2004-2005.
I saw them pretty much once or twice a year, whether it was in Pittsburgh or NYC. My favorite band for a long time. If still love to see these guys reunite for an album or EP. Their solo stuff is great too, but man, why not try to do both?
I love their solo stuff, especially Hamilton -- his recent Reddit AMA was pretty cool overall, and he seemed open to it, from some of the Q's. I think he said something to the effect of, it would be a long time before it happened ... but they could totally reunite sooner! Do a quick run of shows to test it out, maybe work up an EP .... those shows would sell so quick, too.
@@user-em4wh5ji3w Oh wow! Yes! So cool. So excited for you. Hoping one day they reunite. Hamilton did a Reddit AMA a few weeks back and he certainly left the door open but said something like "Not for a long time"... so there's a chance!
I saw the Walkmen play in South London once. They stood in for another band who had to cancel. Most of the audience stood by the bar, talking. As soon as 'The Rat' started, they flooded down to the front. When it finished, they went back to the bar. Tossers.
Elite band. Truly underrated. Lisbon is in one of my top 20 albums ever.
What an excellent band. They're rarely talked about among the early 2000's NYC elite bands, but they're up there.
Yeah, everyone's talking about Interpol and The Strokes, but The Walkmen always gets ignored... and they're as good.
I would say that during their prime days in NYC they were worshiped here and honestly still are with people into the indie scene
Only band from that era that could go album for album with Spoon
One of the best indie bands of my generation. Love every album.
True that but f*ck “Indie”, the last great Rock N’ Roll band. Back now, treasure them…. x

The last song got me tear man T_T
I wish they would reunite. So underrated. Top 5 drummers of all time. Hamiltons voice has so much passion.
Just reunited. Enjoy.

Love how the drummer looks so happy playing The Rat haha
Animal from the Muppets happy to be crushing drums
Big Jeff front row (of course) rocking out to The Rat at 42:15. If you know, you know.

I've seen them maybe 5 or 6 times. I would love a reunion album. Hamilton's new album is sounding great.
