    Seeing the dude’s 1977 Toyota Hilux on a local FB group in MA, and then on your channel in the same week was definitely a funny coincidence. It’s fun to watch your resto of the MR2, as well as your car reviews. Keep it up!

    Sarah, as far of things to do on the engine while it's out of the car. Honestly, anything and everything that you can think of. Cleaning, replace any high wear parts, and just anything that would generally be a pain in the ass to do when it's back in the car.

    Awesome job once again, Sarah! An organized workspace makes it easy to get what you need quickly, so you can spend more time doing what you love doing, working on cars!!! All you need now is a set of hydraulic lifts, so you don't have to use jack stands! Keep up the great work and I love your jokes!!!

    Defo do the timing belt and water pump while it's out.
    Go for the gen 3 ct20b turbo holds boost better and longer!
    Also change the gear linkage bushes for solid brass ones, instead of rubber ones. Will keep the gear change nice and tight! 👍
    Keep it up!😉

    We got to ride along for your weekend. All good car fun. To save yourself some time and aggravation you might want to just put plastic trim plugs in the license plate holes on the Audi bumper cover. I have twice had good body shops fill those holes with the "correct" material -- polyester or whatever and they both failed over time -- cracked, cracked the paint, all ugly now. I've seen nice cars, Porsches, etc. with the trim plugs and you can paint the heads to match. Maybe not smooth, but no unsightly holes.

    Casa de dos Saras = House of two Sarahs
    Quick tip add a drip/catch tray over your toolbox you never know when a chem bottle might rupture. Use to work at pep boys saw it all the time even though the place was air condition. Some bottles of cleaners and polishes would crack or leak with a nice big mess to clean.

    About what to look out to the engine:
    The motor mounts of the engine seems to be much too soft and should be replaced, if not the engine will bump around when you give throttle and in the end can damage hoses or hose connections.

    Sarah, my turbo'd 2016 MX-5's engine blew and Grocery Getter Garage is going to receive it there next week to start clean up of the engine bay and wheel wells, then drop in a brand new engine, built with forged rods and pistons in the coming weeks. Maybe a video on the mess of a blown engine would be interesting to cover? Let us know?

    I thought the MR 2 engines are chain driven like the 22R guess not as I can see a service cover, would definitely put a belt on that is a timing belt I mean and while you are there I would put in a water pump and I would recommend getting a Toyota OEM water pump don’t go to O’Reilly‘s and get the cheapo version I’ve learned on Toyotas in the past especially on the 3MFE 6 cly which are a pain in the booty

    Hi Sarah, I'm really late to the party, like a year late, but I brought Bud Light Limearitas and bean dip....yeah I think my jokes are as funny as yours. Lol. Anyways, I see you have been getting a nice cache of detailing products. In Jan 2018 you received some McKee's products, I'm curious what you though about their car dryer, I like the compactness, and ease of carry, the price seems reasonable especially if you can catch one if their sales. Lastly I'm not sure if you reviewed all the products sent, I was unable to find videos. I've tried some McKee's products and have enjoyed them. I'm a big fan of supporting small companies like McKee's 37 and Shiney's Detail. Thank you for considering my questions.

    For a future video I think it would be interesting to learn how you clean your detailing items, brushes, microfiber cloths, etc. I know you can wash your microfiber cloths, but I can't imagine throwing something covered in grease in my washing machine that I use for my clothes. Learning how professionals do it I think would be interesting.

    I really enjoy your videos. You're entertaining, informative, and of course very attractive. I have watched every one of your videos and have learned quite a bit. I was wondering if anyone else gets tired of UA-camrs making videos of them opening all the boxes of cool stuff that they get for free that the average viewer can't afford? It would be terrific if you could do some reviews of affordable car detailing products that the non-professional could use to detail their own car at home. Just sayin'

      @SarahnTuned  6 років тому +1

    never did a non american engine but gaskets are cheap replace all of them while you can, if skills dont allow for new head gaskets just save them for the next owner. it will suck to get it in the bay and have a gasket fail over not wanting to spend a few dollars, it is a bit more work but at least that is one more way to know that the work was done right and the engine and trans are solid and you arent ripping someone off
