  • Cruising down the Gold Rush Trail also known as The Mother Lode Highway or as we call it now, Historical Hwy 49 was great! Not a history lesson as much as it was from an RVers perspective that we maneuvered our 21fb Mesa Ridge Travel Trailer through the tiny and congested small town main streets from the mid 1800’s all along the two lane mountainous Hwy 49.
New Malones Reservoir, Jamestown, Angels Camp, San Andreas, Mokelumne Hill, and Volcano were traversed by RV and on foot for this gas and go adventure. An overnight full hook up at Jackson Rancheria RV Resort for a swim started our 3rd day off with new vigor.
Part Two of this RV Road Trip #46 The Mother Load Highway or The Gold Rush Trail is complete and ready to view.
Thank you for watching and See you next time in Part Three!!!!

There was a time that the water was so low that the you could not launch a boat from there because they ran out of boat launch and not only that but the original town of Melone could be seen and people were told to leave the artifacts alone due to people wanting a part of history!
