What a wonderful and exciting performance!
The different expressions corresponding to each section of the music, the independence of hand and feet, and how well everything placed to the music. Ravishing until the very last moment.

Best interpretation of the period's dance, specific to the court of Louis XIV. A beautiful and exquisite dancer she would have been a star at court. Best costuming I've seen as well, though the skirt looks a bit shiny. Perhaps it is a fabric they *would have used* if it had been available 😊

Such a divine exquisite composition by Lully and a wonderful performance, Bravo!
for those who like this beautiful composition by Lully, i highly recommend you listen to Passacaille from King Arthur by Henry Purcell which is very similar and very beautiful as well, the similarities are suspicious no doubt and there is an on going debate about this. Lully wrote Passacaille L`armide in 1686 and Purcell wrote his in 1691 so it seems that Purcell was at least "inspired" by Lully's composition, never the less Purcell's composition is wonderful as well and is like his version on similar (or almost same) teams and musical ideas with his own unique touch, well worth a listen, i love them both, peace.

It needs guts to dance this! And it is danced well, athough I am not sure if it is faithfull to the notation on one or two places. I would argue about usage of the hands though.

I thought the hand and arm movements were beautiful and appropriate, even if they weren't authentic.

@midnightblue80 -It's how ballet used to be when Lully founded it...but people wanted it to be more "modern" so we've got ballet which looks nothing like ballet used to be..great right?

There are a lot of steps which are rooted in baroque danse ... All the foot work, for instance,... and the arms.
      Things evolves, changes and transforms
