Food was stopped by the military at our ports and airports no gasoline in many parts of the the island and the bodies of almost 5,000 people were stacked up in empty food containers for months! Jews migrated and built kibbutzim, which are agricultural farms to transform the land into fertile areas. Israel took in hundreds of thousands of jewish refugees who fled from arab countries under threat of persecution. The arab countries did not take in their war refugees -the arab palestinians - resulting in the ongoing conflict

During the Second Sudanese Civil War people were taken into slavery; estimates of abductions range from 14,000 to 200,000. In Niger, where the practice of slavery was outlawed in 2003, a study found that almost 8% of the population are still slaves!!!!!
