I recently lost mine about 2 years ago too. His death anniversary was on the 30th of this month. I woke up like usual this morning and went to my facebook and the last post that i shared was two days ago on his death date and it was My Hero by foo fighters. After it ended, i went to youtube to play more foo fighters and Time like These came on I instantly started balling. It isn’t ever going to get better, but i hope for you that the good days out way the bad. Losing a parent is one of the hardest things to go through and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
I’m 18 and I want this played as my first dance song at my wedding. This song has always kept me aware of my surroundings and to hold onto the good things in my life that keep me going. It’s so so special. I hope I can come back to this comment in years to come and I would’ve fulfilled that dream.
For the second time in my life, this song is saving my brain- first time was a few days after the death of my husband, now it’s getting me through a dating breakup ❤️🩹

This is one of the best songs ever. I recently listened to it probably 50 times, as I've been going through a difficult time, like many of you. Thanks, Dave. You rock!
Music has that power. I am 61 and for some songs, I can tell you the temperature of the room I was in… But, I was spoiled because when I grew up music of outstanding quality and innovation came out every…single…week…
I'm in that situation right now and this song helps me so much to reduce those sad feelings and gives me another perspective of this moment of my life. Cheers!
Its times like these you learn to live again, a different type of life, its times like these you learn to love again, as you appreciate those you love and see them in a different light, its times like these you give and give again, everyone is giving the best they can through this. During covid 19 (2020) this song takes on a new meaning
Absolutely devastated after hearing of the passing of such an epic musician and drummer....RIP and Shred in peace Taylor and thank you for your musical contributions and being a part of the greatest band ever, thanks for being a huge influence and confidence booster to get me to go from guitar to learning to play the drums, I hope someday I can play with your emotion and energy!!!

I lost my husband to cancer, as well as three of my best friends since high school. Eleven months after losing my husband I lost my ex husband of twenty years- he was the father of my three children. This song pulled me out of sheer agony and made me realize that I had so much to live for. I’m not all the way there, but I am on my way back between this song and “Walk”. Love the FF’s so much and cannot wait to see them live in September!!!!!
How cud anyone not like this tune , no matter your taste in music this tune will go on thru centuries, there will be people flying on some gadget while listening to this tune .
Said it before, I'll say it again. This is beautiful. One of the greatest songs ever written, not the opinion of everyone but this song is very dear to me. :)
Like a clueless old person fumbling for their credit card at the checkout line I kept missing the whole song on the radio, and I'd get mad. Hey! What if I put the chip in THIS way? Damn do I love this song, especially this version! Wonder if the internet has other great music...….
When you hear the emotional lyrics done acoustically you feel the whole meaning of how life is ever changing and one must adapt to carry on as we move forth , thank Dave for coming this far and giving us a new anthem for the 2000's .You shall always be loved & respect for your contribution to mankind .
Whenever I play and sing this song, I do it with my eyes closed. As much as I try, I can't open them. I just feel the lyrics and the music *_TOO DARN MUCH._* Thanks for this song, Dave.
I went through a heartbreaking split from a long time love. One of the most painful times of my life. This song saved me and helped me to recover from the loss. It will always be one of my favorite songs. One that I can still feel the angst from long ago.
The most emotional and raw version of this song was when they played it at the Hawkins tribute concert!! And when Hawkins son played the drums on the song Hero it brought tears to my eyes...still does till this day
I remember this song being released in the summer of 2003 and I just immediately loved the acoustic version so much better it has more heart into the song and this song got me thru some tough times in my life and my father is sick and dying in times like these so this song again keeps me trucking along ty God for good tunes
My brother got married and they played this song at the end of the ceremony. It was so beautiful. Teared up a bit. Gonna sleep now. Gonna play this song. Again and again..
This is by far, my favorite Foo Fighter's song, and I like a lot of their music, and am a huge fan of Dave Grohl, not only as an incredibly talented musician, but just as a person. I mean how many musicians have broken their leg during a concert, and returned an hour later to finish the concert? He didn't have to do that, everyone would have understood, he did it, because he wanted to. Back to this song. I have it as my ringtone on my phone, So whenever I get a call, I am reminded to make each day a new day for living and loving more. Especially in tumultuous times like these. This is such an inspirational song, and I love every version of it, but I am particularly attached to the live acoustic, as there is also a cello, and possibly a violin in the background, which just intensifies the purity of the message. This song is also what inspired me 5 years ago at age 37 to pick up the guitar and start learning to play. I am still very much a beginner, but I have "Times Like These" to thank for getting me started.
Foo Fighters also inspired me to start guitar last year ( I'm 17). My dad has been a Foo Fighters fan for as long as I can remember, that's how I found them as a child. ( I love the fact we can share a passion through music.) Dave has been an amazing role model for me. He's been through so much and still continues to amaze me. I couldn't have asked for any better. I came back to this song (the acoustic version) after T died, it must be super rough on Dave. I miss him, even though I've never met the guy. I wish we could have seen them live with my dad. It's such a sad time, but not the first for times like these. Have to keep living. I hope the Foos would still continue, but it's up to them. I really want to hear this song live someday.
@@13magic74 I am still very much a beginner. I know a few chords, but putting them together and making them sound like music is still a struggle. Also, I have issues with rhythm and proper strumming, and changing chords quickly. I still try though. It is fun and I just need to be more consistent with my practicing.
Love this “unplugged” version. It’s deeper, and has more impact than the regular, full-on rock version. The vocals aren’t hidden by the metal. Love it. ❤️
I love this version so much. I could listen and listen and ever get bored. I wish I could buy or download this version somewhere. It is absolutely beautiful, so much heart and passion and Dave’s voice ... wow.
My life has recently been changed drastically...........I first thought it was for the worst.......then I met the woman of my dreams, and I play her this song every show. Thank you Foo Fighters.
I legitimately wonder how many lives this song has saved? Especially this version. Oh, Dave Grohl... your songs are hitting me hard lately. They're telling my story.
My favorite Foo Fighters song. Taught myself how to play it on guitar. Always one of my go-to songs to play. I'll think of Taylor everytime I play it from now on. 🥁
I heard a band with a female singer in greece play this on a street, I stopped and just went wow. I came back and learned it on the guitar (needs a bit of tweaking but nearly there) its a great song to play anyway but with Taylor passing has a whole new chapter...
I legitimately wonder how many lives this song has saved? Especially this version.

I want this song when it plays people remember me! Just live , love and learn to live after so many trials and tribulations!
Me acuerdo cuando tenía 8 años y pasaban estás canciones por MTV y me emocionaba mucho ese canal ❤❤❤
This song holds a special place in my heart. It got me through my divorce and it definitely helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Stay strong my friend, the Foo fighters army love you x
I'm in that situation right now and this song helps me so much to reduce those sad feelings and gives me another perspective of this moment of my life.
Cheers!
I understand You
Will be better. Im from Poland but my history is the same
Mee too😭😭😭
We so need this, especially now, the world is so full of hatred. Love the aucostic version!
T really inspired thousands to start pursuing music. I hope all those people keep playing and honouring him.
I am a one way motorway
I'm the road that drives away
then follows you back home
I am a street light shining
I'm a white light blinding bright
burning off and on
it's times like these you learn to live again
it's times like these you give and give again
it's times like these you learn to love again
it's times like these time and time again
I am a new day rising
I'm a brand new sky
to hang the stars upon tonight
I am a little divided
do I stay or run away
and leave it all behind?
it's times like these you learn to live again
it's times like these you give and give again
it's times like these you learn to love again
it's times like these time and time again
kelly kollida what is this from? Did you write this???
Puta madre, que letra.
Awesome but no Verse 1?
@@pilate2012 dude it's the song lyrics wtf 😂
@@staticpiece cut me some slack I'm not a R&B fan.
It's been 12 years, we're in 2019 and I still come back to this video. Crazy.
Someone needs to sing this song on apartment balconies across America right now!!!
God Bless You and May They RIP.
Stay strong Nancy. GOD bless.
Sincerely,
Me.
@@petermoodie4647 Thank you Peter!
@@mctavish23 Thank you!

I’m gonna have a fucked up day

Dec 2019 i love my wife so much. I hear this song and love her even more. 25 years. She taught me to love ❤️
Graces to you
That’s so beautiful! May you have many more years together.❤️
Mentioned this song to our choir leader... hope we do this song soon......love it......
Good song! ❤ I heard this song on my way home from visiting my family.
Almost 2025 and I need this right now! Thank you!
Essa música me faz sentir que nunca vou estar sozinho, não preciso ter certos medos e que nunca posso deixar de caminhar dia após dia!
Glad you folk's are ALL still here! Following brother Grohl & his crew has certainly been a constant source of continual inspiration in my life!
This is probably my all time favorite song, particularly the acoustic version. Helped me through a lot in life
Forever here
Amen. Learn what is important. Live every moment of everyday. Each one is a blessing and we never know when its gonna be our last
There have been times that I have had tremendous challenges. This song has helped more times than I can remember. Thanks Dave.
Wonder if the internet has other great music...….
i remember getting this album for Christmas in like '03. I miss those days, man.
I would never give the album to anyone else. Keep it safe lol
Thank you! I thought I had seen just about all versions of this song. I found it on the day I needed it as I worry about a granddaughter. Gut felt!
Good god. This is one of my absolute favorites. Regular song doesn’t move me at all. This song ignited me to learn acoustic myself!!!❤️❤️❤️
When you hear the emotional lyrics done acoustically you feel the whole meaning of how life is ever changing and one must adapt to carry on as we move forth , thank Dave for coming this far and giving us a new anthem for the 2000's .You shall always be loved & respect for your contribution to mankind .
First time I’ve heard this version. Absolutely majestic!
Whenever I play and sing this song, I do it with my eyes closed. As much as I try, I can't open them. I just feel the lyrics and the music *_TOO DARN MUCH._* Thanks for this song, Dave.
very very nice version of song bravo
Wow... what a powerful song that shoots straight to the soul..... Absolutely fantastic Dave Groth!
This has to be one of the greatest gifts ever given in a song. I am overwhelmed by an emotional high while listening ❤
Watching and listening to this April 2020. Dave Grohl you are such a talented and beautiful soul. I needed to hear this song.
And when Hawkins son played the drums on the song Hero it brought tears to my eyes...still does till this day
Had some how missed this version: excellent. 🕯️
This is so good but you must hear “Winding Road” or “The Wave Acoustic ” by SLT 🔥🎸🤘
My favorite version. Come back to this one so many times over the years. Always hits just right. 🙌🏻
I remember this song being released in the summer of 2003 and I just immediately loved the acoustic version so much better it has more heart into the song and this song got me thru some tough times in my life and my father is sick and dying in times like these so this song again keeps me trucking along ty God for good tunes
Totally underrated vocalist and guitar player. Brilliant performance.
My brother got married and they played this song at the end of the ceremony. It was so beautiful. Teared up a bit. Gonna sleep now. Gonna play this song. Again and again..
Always have to listen to this when times are tough
( I love the fact we can share a passion through music.)
Dave has been an amazing role model for me.
Great to hear Destry. Are you still playing?
@@13magic74 I am still very much a beginner. I know a few chords, but putting them together and making them sound like music is still a struggle. Also, I have issues with rhythm and proper strumming, and changing chords quickly. I still try though. It is fun and I just need to be more consistent with my practicing.
Been a FF fan forever, and I barely heard this version today. This song played acoustically is nothing short of immaculate lordy have mercy. 🔥🔥🔥
amazed how this song keeps meaning more than it used to as time passes by.
I just got into these guys and this song is one of the best I have ever heard. Thanks guys.
I remember listening to this music on school 9 years ago, it's actually crazy listening to this song again and remembering that... great song
One of my all time favorite songs!
Love this “unplugged” version. It’s deeper, and has more impact than the regular, full-on rock version. The vocals aren’t hidden by the metal. Love it. ❤️
I love this version so much. I could listen and listen and ever get bored. I wish I could buy or download this version somewhere. It is absolutely beautiful, so much heart and passion and Dave’s voice ... wow.
Try using atube catcher to make the download here
Such a great song
My life has recently been changed drastically...........I first thought it was for the worst.......then I met the woman of my dreams, and I play her this song every show. Thank you Foo Fighters.
March 16,2020 It's times like these you give and give again. Please stay safe everyone.
I just love this song so much. Makes my heart warm, gives me strenght.
I legitimately wonder how many lives this song has saved? Especially this version.
Oh, Dave Grohl... your songs are hitting me hard lately. They're telling my story.
ADORO ESSA MÚSICA...DEPOIS DE 16 ANOS NÃO CANSO DE OUVI -LA 🤩🤩🤩
My speakers cannot ever go loud enough for this song!
Great acoustic version of this song! So much feel and emotion!
My favorite Foo Fighters song. Taught myself how to play it on guitar. Always one of my go-to songs to play. I'll think of Taylor everytime I play it from now on. 🥁
Me too ,,,, learning it when it happened..
I heard a band with a female singer in greece play this on a street, I stopped and just went wow. I came back and learned it on the guitar (needs a bit of tweaking but nearly there) its a great song to play anyway but with Taylor passing has a whole new chapter...
Beautiful and very fitting for these very difficult times ❤️🇨🇦
Many, many lives I think. It's a beautiful song in acoustic 😊
This is so good but you must hear “Winding Road” or “The Wave Acoustic ” by SLT 🔥🎸🤘
Taylor... :/ You'll live on, man. In all the hearts of us fans of the Foos.
