I guess most people will have an idea on how to do this, but what I think your professional video does,is,it gives people confidence to have a go at DIY. A good quality video, clear, precise and at a methodical pace :)Thank you for sharing.
This is easily one of the best instructional videos on UA-cam,. The step by step instructions are easy to follow and the adhesive from your company made the project easy to do. Pull and press down, pull and press down,.. It works! Thank you for this fantastic video!
MAN!!!... I searched for yrs for replacement grills on my decade old Infinity Primus speakers. So frustrated at the dirty silver grills (silver was in around ‘07). In shear frustration I punch in speaker grill repair in UA-cam and BOOM!!! I see your video, and as if the video isn’t perfect already you sell the cloth and adhesive.... ordered the materials took my time and redid my speakers (IN BLACK LOL) it’s like a whole new set up. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just did my first re-grill of my AR 30BF speakers. I ordered the cloth and adhesive from your on-line store. Thanks to your video it was remarkably easy to do and they turned out perfect! Thanks.
Finally got around to doing the grills on my vintage Bose 801 speakers with the cloth and glue I purchased from you. The instructional video was extremely helpful in completing them. I especially like the tips on waiting for the glue to tack up before starting with the cloth. Trimming technique is also very helpful. Well done video. It made using your product much easier to tackle. I actually watched the video before purchasing the product. Much appreciated and very smart to provide for your customers.
Thanks again to Simply Speakers. I hate doing things like this because it never seems to turn out as well as I would like but after watching this video I went ahead and did up my Snell EIII speakers. They look as good as new. Really sharp, corners look really nice. I have seen a lot of re covered speaker grills and they look terrible if not on the front then on the back of the grill. Pinching and stapling the corners and the way you explained how to position, glue etc. made this a breeze.... I will try not to do this when it is windy outside next time though.
One stop shop! Thank you for everything, just replaced the cloth on my old KG 4.5s and Simply Speaker was there every step of the way, even through these crazy times. Thanks again Simply Speakers!
Just used your glue and method on my MCS linear phase grills. My time replacing cloth, and they are multidimensional. Look AMAZING! Thanks for the vid!
Excellent demonstration, thank you for taking the time to create it. This helped solidify my understanding of the process and will help me with my project!
I tried this on a guitar amp and it worked. The material I got was a little thick though, but it fit nonetheless. Changed the grille cloth after 12 years.
Thanks for the video. I just ripped the fabric on my Rivera Chubster amp last night at a gig. Rather upset about it. I'm honestly not sure how to get it off the amp. It also has a white rubber (almost a little gasket) looking piece the goes around the edge kind of like what holds a screen in place. Can you please offer any assistance? Also, do you know if you might be able to get the fabric for me?
Hi guys I've got 2 pairs of bang olufsen red line speaker that I want to recover the bottom left corner has a raised logo under the cloth I was wondering what would be the best glue to stick the cloth to this without it seeping threw mabe a contact adhesive ie evostick thanks jim
Well after I watched the speaker rebuild I thoroughly enjoyed your rendition of the speaker grill covers. Do you sell grill frames?? I'd like to rebuild my Technics 6060's but the frames are 3D and one is completely broken.
Very instructive video..you forgot to mention how to get the cover itself off the speaker. JK lol Just a little bit elementary I would say..geez... If a person needs this kind of instruction they shouldn't be using sharp objects.

how about using double sided adhesive tape in place of liquid glue?

Not 100% sure. But we have done some round JBL grills (L7 woofer grill) in the past, and they were extremely tricky as I recall.
Grazie
excellent video
Hi! What specific glues can be used? I have tried a number of glues on plastic grilles and none of them worked.
Use our MI-3035 adhesive as shown in the video.
Well after I watched the speaker rebuild I thoroughly enjoyed your rendition of the speaker grill covers. Do you sell grill frames?? I'd like to rebuild my Technics 6060's but the frames are 3D and one is completely broken.
We only sell the grill fabric. You might try a local cabinet shop to see if they can duplicate the frame for you. Good luck!
