Yes! There was a shirt my grandfather wore and we got it made into a pillow for my grandmother. My aunt got a pair of my uncle’s jeans and had a teddy bear made for my sister (since he was her godfather).
When you asked Benji if he had any attachments to anything and he said no, I immediately thought of his robe and the wallet 😂 Been watching since 2014 ❤

I know it's hard to part with the shirt because it feels like you're letting a piece of Mama go, but at the end of the day, it's just a shirt. Mama will be in your heart and memories forever because of your vlogs, AND you can see her in all your baby bears. 🐻💕

As a therapist...let yourself feel your feelings around the shirt and maybe have a little ceramony where you put it in a box and away on shelf you don't see often it with the intention of letting go and setting it and yourself free? If you feel you are avoiding your grief, yes a therpist is a great idea!

OoOo the dusty rose sweater!! ❤️ Whenever I had something that I had mixed feelings about....like I couldn't part with it but I didn't want to be reminded of it every time I looked at it...I had a bonfire, released any emotion attached to it along with the heaviness I felt. ❤️
I would keep the shirt. Having your loved ones pass is not easy and we all grief in different ways. I think it’s also important to remember to celebrate the beautiful life they’ve lived and the hearts they’ve touched. I know mama has touched so many.❤️
Your feelings of the shirt are completely valid. I have items from my partner's passing that I don't dare to look at and they stay deep in the drawer. There is no right or wrong with what you choose to do with your items that bring up heavy emotions. Do what makes you feel comfortable. If it stays in the drawer out of view, then that is perfectly okay. There is no right or wrong way to grieve- everyone's grief is different and you do what's best for you. Sending lots of love!

@@pamelab4910 it’s what my mom did for me with my grandmas shirt they made for her memorial. Was a little too young to attend, but I still have the pillow. Almost 24 years later

I want to thank you Judy for showing how important it is to spend as much time with love ones while they are still here. I just lost my dad a week ago to kidney cancer and your vlogs have been keeping me company while I have been grieving. When we first found out my dad's had cancer it was around the time mama has passed away and it made me realize how important time is with your loved ones. If I haven't seen what you gone thru, I would not have spend more time with my dad and wouldn't had made the most of his last moments in the world.
"You guys did all that? Now leave our guest alone okay? " HAHAHA

Fireworks should be illegal everywhere, they are horrible for wildlife, pets, people with PTSD, and fires safety. there is no reason we need them now with technology and the ability to make light shows....

been watching every day since 2012 and never missed a day, even when in vacay. from being in uni, to an early adult working, to moving abroad and now creating my own family. it’s so crazy to think that i also grew up as your family is growing as well.
I started watching when I was in middle school lol 😂 now I’m married with my own 10 month old daughter! We love your vlogs! It’s our morning show while feeding her bottle! She used to babble to Judy back in the day and it was so cute!

Also, therapist here who has also lost her Dad. It’s nice to keep some items that remind you of your parent. I lost my dad 4 1/2 years ago and I still have yet to part with some of his clothes.
I would encourage you to consider storing one shirt away in the attic. You never know. The girls might want to keep this later on in life. And this piece of clothing brings back hard memories, years from now it might bring a smile to your face.
Grief is unique process and you have to do what’s right for you 🩵

I am watching everyday and when ny daughter started to talk she will say "MORNING" it means she wants to watch your vlog with matchinG same with your hand gesture everytime you say good morning. 😊 She grew up with your vlogs
Judy I still wear all my dads shirts as pajamas. He wore a lot of muscle shirts so they are perfect and comfy! It might be weird to some but I find it comforting ❤

Shirts that have sentimental value but not something you would wear. I suggest making them into a blanket. Cut them into squares and sew them together like a quilt. I believe there’s also companies where you can send your shirts and they’ll do all the sewing.
You can also frame the shirt and put it somewhere like your closet or by mama’s photo. They’re hard memories but you would never want to forget it.
