I'm not an alcohol drinker or a sports fan but I have nostalgia for those Miller Lite commercials with all the athletes hanging out. Those Redskins wives look so modest and demure. They are like astronauts' wives.
25:40 In that promo for the TV series "The Mississippi", the guy who says "Did they tell you not to talk? Did they threaten you?" apparently was Ralph Waite, who played Pa Walton on The Waltons in the 70s/early 80s.
Crack the sky, savage rocks, benfields, hammerjacks...the bayou,.. Georgetown, inner harbor,. capital center, civic center and all the malls..man what a senior year...any of "yous" remember? 84
Where are the Christmas commercials???? Today we start showing them in Oct and here it is less than 2 weeks away and you would never know Christmas was that close.
They had a beer ad (4:05) with a bunch of football players (probably retired) in it, and they wished everyone a Merry Christmas towards the end of the ad. Maybe that's the closest thing in this video to a "Christmas" ad... Just looking at this video's list of ads/promos provided under the Subscribe button (above), it seems like half of the ads are for either beer or cars--perhaps not too surprising, since these ads ran during a football game.
It's all about the placement. This was during a football game, so the typical Christmas commercials wouldn't be shown. "Manly" commercials were all that make the cut.
It was Week 15, the most anticipated regular season game of the year. Washington, defending champs, lost to Dallas Monday night Week 1. They were both 12-2 going into the game. Then the Cowboys got their butts whupped. It's been said that this was the beginning of the end for the Tom Landry era.
I'd give anything to go back to that time.
gosh. I miss Circuit City and Radio Shack!
I grew up in the 80's, would ve been cool to experience as an adult too.
Same and I think it would have been cool too 🖤
just 3 days before I was born. Wow.

12:42 wasn't born in 1983 but commercials like this made me love NASCAR!!
same year Bobby Allison won his 1st and only Winston Cup Championship!! 5 years later he had that near-fatal crash at Pocono!
Meister Brau, as good as Budwiser? I don't think so. Budwiser is STILL the KING of beers! Time for a cold one!
Agreed 👍
Budweiser and Raider Nation.
10:08 a brief snippet of the singing voice of Jake Holmes.
I met him in person, he did a performance in the park in the 90’s

2 years later, Joe Theismann would receive one heck of an injury!
4:36 Martin Mull
25:04 Cliff Robertson
