If you watch LEC’s PGL (interview at the end of the match), Broken Blade explains how BDS likely knew/expected the lane swap since BDS was the first to bring the Sion lane swap to the LEC last year lol. He also says how NIP did it in the LPL three days ago.
While I also think that Monty is wrong, was BDS lane swapping? Didn't Adam just stay bot and dive early and tp top? Or did they had other games where their bot actually went top?

While the way BDS dealt with the lane swap wasn't perfect and they did not counter it perfectly, the point Monte is trying to make is in regards to them pre-positioning at red quadrant jungle lv1

People claim BDS did lane swap in the past but I just remembered them having popularized sions starting bot with their bot for a dive or some jungling and then tping top afterwards. But not actually having their bot swap top. I was wondering if I maybe missed one game where they actually swapped so I asked for an example. Really curious how you answer to me noe what the point of Monty was.

It was quite obvious due to the Sion pick wich is probably why they choked and didn't expect it when G2 used Zac later on. That and Jinx already being top when they warded toplane.

Lane swapping occurs in less than 1% of games, regardless of champs played. Picking Sion COULD infer a Sion dive strat but that is DIFFERENT to lane swapping. Not sure if disingenuous or unintelligent.

And again, laneswap had just been tried in the LPL days before the match, so it's impossible for BDS to not have information about it.

maybe I'm remembering wrong but wasn't the BDS strat (that T1 did too) just diving with Sion lvl 1 and jungle lvl2/3? I don't remember any lane swaps by BDS nor any other kind of lane swap. Doublelift example wasn't a lane swap either just a bad executed dive. One dude moving is not a swap by definition.
Finally someone sees it. Exactly! The strat DL said is Sion diving bot lvl 1 AND tping back top and laning top vs top and bot vs bot which is not at all what happened here in G2 vs BDS ( even tho i dont think the scrims got leaked, im just saying it is not the same strat)

This is my major issue with Dom, Thorin and Monte. Their egos are out of this world. They would rather quadruple down than to admit fault. They also post inflamatory assumptions like this, then play it off like "I didnt say they DEFINITELY did it!", bro "Clear as day" is basically the same as the prior statement. I like some of their content, but man, their egos are insane.

Of course it’s simple and clearly obvious they would lane swap when 2 games out of like 260 for the season for the game had a lane swap. Monte and Thorin are the biggest plagues on todays scene imo. They’re always the ones looking at the bad side of whatever is going on. If there’s a negative angle possible, or sometimes even if theres not, they’re gonna ride that negativity to more interactions every time. They could at least TRY to be like their hero, Richard Lewis, and come with a whole bunch of sourced information to back up their claims. But they almost NEVER do.
It's their style of being annoying as hell , it gains engagement and clicks , and just make them relevant in the scene , because they have nothing to add really to the scene , so they have to be bunch of pricks. It is what is that's how bad the community is getting and people are falling for it.
If you hate them for those reason you must hate DL the most becaus he never has any information and doesnt remember most of it correctly if he does have it.
There's no way to have a SOURCE for this. No pro is going to admit to leaking scrimp, think about what you're saying for a second. What possible source could he have, it's an intuition based on watching the game for years and the fact that the play they made was incredibly suspect.

yes its obvious for players that played in lane swap meta, half the bds roster were what 4 years old when they patched lane swaps out? ans yes scion strats are common but theres about 10000 different ones, thats like saying well the lottery numbers were obvious we knew they would pick numbers.

I don't think scrims were leaked but its wild as hell to me that DL doesn't know what a lane swap is after all this time. Sion cheese bottom dive is not the same strategy as an actual lane swap. It kind of takes away from how monumental of a call that was from NIP (then G2) to go for a strat that the game is literally balanced around disincentivizing. The Sion strat is awesome in its own right, but lane swaps went mostly extinct and most certainly have not been common enough to see lately (which is exactly WHY every analyst hyped up how crazy it was to see NIP do it in the first place)
People laneswapped Karthus bot long before SIon was reworked, Laneswapping was a thing legit a decade ago. Doesn't mean scrims are leaked just beacuse Monte thinks he's the only one alive who can watch a vod or another region.

bds was literally the first team i saw do sion lane swap strat with bot dive in pro im pretty sure....
They didnt lane swap xD...its not a SWAP if just one champ moves. In this case sion invaded bot jngl to 4 man dive bot into tping top with a lead in botlane. They still laned top vs top and bot vs bot. What happened in NIP vs FPX and G2 vs BDS is something that happened many years ago. Its the first time in a decade that this sht happened

It's disappointing to see how Monte, IWD, and Thorin have shifted from constructive criticism to spreading negativity about specially T1 and others for the sake of social media engagement. Monte, in particular, used to provide thoughtful insights, but his collaboration with IWD and Thorin seems to have fueled a toxic environment. Their Twitter timelines are filled with unnecessary toxicity instead of constructive discourse.
Monte blocked me on Twitter for a pretty mild comment I made regarding TSM Regi that could also be interpreted as applying to Monte's time with Renegades.
That being said, his take seems pretty reasonable: BDS full stacking on red to sack bot wave seems like inting without any prior knowledge. He just said it in a way too inflammatory manner.
Haven't been able to tolerate Monte ever since he brought a wooden train whistle to the analyst desk at season 3 world finals. The way he acts and the things he says in the manner he says them in have always made my stomach turn. So it is more likely that BDS not only is 100% certain that the other team will use a super risky strat, that was dropped half a year ago because it didn't work, and make up a perfect counter gameplan in 60 seconds than the simple obvious fact that they just got a scrim rumor leaked, which happens literally all the time.

Sion doesn't go to lane level 1, steals enemy botside jungle with jungler and then they 4man dive the bottom lane on 2nd wave. Sion then tries to tp top in a bad spot and gets killed.
